A VERY HIGH TIME ATP RATED PLT FLYING A PA23 AZTEC AT PDK FAILED TO ADHERE TO TAXI INSTRUCTIONS ISSUED BY GND CTL RESULTING IN A RWY INCURSION AT RWY 2L.

Narrative

I WAS CLRED TO TAXI TO RWY 2R AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 2L. WHEN I BEGAN TO TAXI OUT; I HAD TO DIVERT TO THE R TO AVOID ANOTHER ACFT COMING INTO THE RAMP. WHEN THE ACFT PASSED ME; I MADE A SLIGHT R TURN ONTO A TXWY TO PARALLEL RWY 2L AND HOLD SHORT AT THE END. WHAT I ACTUALLY DID WAS PARALLEL RWY 16 AND CROSSED RWY 2L BEFORE I REALIZED IT. I SAW THE DIRECTIONAL GYRO READ 150 DEGS AND THE HOLD SHORT FOR RWY 2R ABOUT THE TIME THE GND CTLR TOLD US TO STOP. I THINK WHAT CAUSED THE INCURSION WAS THE DISTR OF THE ACFT ON THE RAMP AREA. I CAME OUT OF THE RAMP HDG ALMOST E; AND SO THE SLIGHT R TURN ONTO TXWY B SEEMED NORMAL FOR TXWY A. THE AREA WAS POORLY MARKED. I DID NOT SEE TXWY MARKINGS. I CALLED THE TWR AND EXPLAINED HOW IT HAPPENED AS I HAVE HERE. I CERTAINLY REGRET THIS ERROR AND WILL BE MUCH; MUCH MORE CAREFUL IN THE FUTURE. I HAVE NEVER HAD A RWY INCURSION. I SHUDDER TO THINK WHAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED. THE TWR PERSONNEL SAID THIS HAPPENS ALL THE TIME; SO THAT IS PART OF THE REASON FOR THIS RPT. I HOPE THERE IS A SOLUTION. 4 RWYS CROSS IN THIS AREA.
