Narrative
WE WERE OPERATING WITH A CALL SIGN OF ACR XX. OUR FLT PLAN CALLED FOR 14000 FT AS OUR FINAL ALT. I WAS THE PF AND WE WERE DEVIATING TO AVOID BUILD-UPS; BUT WERE STILL ENCOUNTERING MODERATE TURB. THE CAPT WAS SPEAKING WITH THE FLT ATTENDANT ON THE INTERCOM TO INFORM HER TO REMAIN SEATED. AKRON DEP CLRED US TO 14000 FT AND I RESPONDED TO THE CALL AND SET 14000 FT IN THE ALT PRE-SELECT. I WAS CONCENTRATING ON AVOIDING THE BUILD-UPS AND DEVIATING AROUND CELLS WHEN THE CAPT CHKED BACK ON WITH ME. I TOLD HIM WE WERE CLBING TO XX FT. I THINK WITH THE TASK SATURATION OF WORKING THE RADIOS; FLYING; AND JUST DEALING WITH TURB; I STATED A NUMBER THAT WAS INCORRECT (IT WAS OUR CALL SIGN; NOT OUR ALT). AT THIS MOMENT; THE CAPT SET XX000 FT; IN THE ALT PRE-SELECT AND WE RECEIVED A FREQ CHANGE TO ZID. THE CAPT CHKED ON WITH INDY AND STATED 'ACR XX; 13.5 FOR XX.' INDY RESPONDED WITH A LCL ALTIMETER. PASSING 14.5; INDY ASKED WHAT OUR FINAL ALT WAS. WE RESPONDED XX000 FT. THE CTLR SAID HE SHOWED 14000 FT; BUT CLRED US TO XX000 FT. IT TOOK THE CAPT AND I APPROX 15 MINS TO THINK THROUGH THE EVENTS THAT LED TO THIS DEV. TASK SATURATION AND TURB; AND A MISCOM BTWN MYSELF AND THE CAPT LED TO A DEV THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED.
