SINGLE PLT OF C206 CONFLICTS WITH ACR ACFT WHILE ON PARALLEL APCH PATH TO BKL.
Narrative
I WAS FLYING VFR TO BKL FROM THE E. I CALLED BKL TWR AT ABOUT 15 NM AND WAS CLRED TO LAND ON RWY 24L; STRAIGHT IN. IT WAS QUITE HAZY AND IN ORDER TO FIND THE FIELD; I TUNED IN AND TRACKED THE RWY 24R LOC; PLANNING TO SIDESTEP TO RWY 24L WHEN THE FIELD BECAME VISIBLE. AT ABOUT 5 MI OUT; BEFORE I SAW THE FIELD; A JET WAS CLRED TO LAND RWY 24R. WHEN ASKED; I RPTED MY POS 'ON THE LOC.' I WAS REPRIMANDED BY THE TWR; SAYING I WAS CLRED TO RWY 24L; WHICH I KNEW. THE JET ASKED TO DO A R 360 DEG TURN TILL I GOT OUT OF THE WAY AND WAS APPROVED; BUT JUST THEN I SAW THE FIELD AT ABOUT 3 MI AND DID MY SIDE-STEP. THE JET PASSED ME ABOUT 300 FT TO MY R. I THOUGHT IT WAS UNSAFE TO CLR 2 PLANES; A FAST ONE FOLLOWING A SLOW ONE TO 2 VERY CLOSE TOGETHER RWYS IN VERY MARGINAL VISIBILITY. UNTIL I SAW THE FIELD AT 3 MI; THE ONLY WAY I HAD TO ALIGN MYSELF WITH THE RWYS FOR MY CLRED STRAIGHT-IN LNDG WAS TO USE THE LOC. I HAD NO WAY TO ALIGN MYSELF WITH RWY 24L BEFORE PICKING UP THE FIELD VISUALLY. EITHER THE JET OR I SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN A BASE LEG ENTRY OR SOME TYPE OF DELAY UNTIL THE APCH WAS CLR. CLRING 2 PLANES AT THE SAME TIME WAS NOT SAFE.
