PLT RPT; THE CAPT FORGOT TO TELL THE CABIN ATTENDANTS TO BE SEATED FOR LNDG.
Narrative
IT WAS THE COPLT'S LEG AND A CAT I ILS APCH HAD BEEN BRIEFED. I CHKED IN WITH APCH AND WAS GIVEN NEW WX. THE WX WAS NOW VERY CLOSE TO CAT I MINIMUMS; SO WE BRIEFED FOR A CAT III AUTOLAND APCH. THE BRIEF WAS COMPLETED AS WE DSNDED THROUGH ABOUT 11000 FT. AT 10300 FT; WE WERE CLRED TO 7000 FT. I WAS TURNING ON THE LNDG LIGHTS; WHEN THE 7000 FT CLRNC WAS XMITTED. I READ BACK THE CLRNC; SET 7000 FT IN THE ALT WINDOW AND APPARENTLY FORGOT TO CYCLE THE SEATBELT SIGN TWICE TO SIGNAL DSCNT BELOW 10000 FT. THE AUTOPLT LANDED THE AIRPLANE VERY SMOOTHLY. AS WE TAXIED TO THE GATE; THE 'A' FLT ATTENDANT TOLD US THAT THEY WERE ALL 3 STANDING UP IN THE GALLEY DURING LNDG; BECAUSE WE HAD FAILED TO TELL THEM TO SIT DOWN. I REALIZED THEN; THAT I HAD FAILED TO MAKE THE CALL ON THE PA FOR FLT ATTENDANTS TO BE SEATED. I NORMALLY TURN THE LNDG LIGHTS ON AND CYCLE THE SEATBELT SIGN AT THE SAME TIME. I THEN USE THE LNDG LIGHTS AS CONFIRMATION THAT I HAVE GIVEN THE FLT ATTENDANTS THE 10000 FT WARNING. I MUST HAVE BEEN INTERRUPTED BY THE ALT CHANGE AT 10300 FT AND MISSED THE FLT ATTENDANT SIGNAL. I CAN'T EXPLAIN HOW THEY COULD HAVE MISSED THE NOISE OF THE LNDG GEAR EXTENSION BUT WAS VERY EMBARRASSED THAT I HAD NOT SEATED THEM FOR LNDG.
