Narrative
THE NIGHT FLT DEPARTED DAYTONA BEACH; FL; (DAB) FOR A VFR NIGHT FLT TO WINTER HAVEN; FL (GIF). RTE PLANNED WAS TO INTERCEPT V152 AT 1500 FT MSL (211 DEG RADIAL FROM OMN) UNTIL 25 NM FROM LAL VOR OFF THE 030 DEG RADIAL; WHICH IS OFF THE 030 DEG RADIAL OFF LAL VOR. THEN THE FLT WOULD RESUME VISUALLY TO THE S; SEARCHING FOR THE ROTATING BEACON AT GIF. WHEN I INTERCEPTED V152; I NOTICED I WAS S OF COURSE; IN COMPARISON TO MY CURRENT VFR SECTIONAL CHART. I SEARCHED TO FIND MY POS FINDING BOTH MY VORS INDICATED APPROX 10 DEGS DIFFERENTIAL. I NOTED THAT ORL WAS OFF MY R. KEEPING CLR OF THE CLASS D AIRSPACE; I TURNED FROM A SW HDG TO A WESTERLY HDG. WHEN I TRIED TO KEEP CLR OF CLASS D AIRSPACE AT ORL; I MAY HAVE TOUCHED THE EDGE OF THE CLASS B AIRSPACE TO MY L AT MCO. I WAS CAREFUL TO AVOID ANY TFC AND DEPARTED BTWN THE 2 ARPTS AT A HDG OF 270 DEGS. I HAD PREVIOUSLY TERMINATED RADAR WITH DAB JUST S OF DELAND (DED). I WAS NOT IN COMS WITH ANYONE AT THE TIME OF THE POSSIBLE INTERFERENCE. I FEEL EVEN THOUGH THIS WAS A VFR FLT; THAT I SHOULD HAVE USED THE VOT CHK TO CHK THE ACCURACY OF MY VOR'S. CONTINUING WITH FLT FOLLOWING WITH ORL MAY HAVE BEEN A USEFUL AID AS WELL. THE REASON I DID NOT WAS BECAUSE IN THE PAST WHEN I HAVE TRAVELED A SIMILAR RTE; ATC USUALLY INFORMS ME TO JUST REMAIN CLR OF CLASS B AIRSPACE.
