Narrative
WE WERE TAXIING TO RWY 28L VIA TXWY S CROSS RWY 28C; TXWY F TO TXWY P FOR A RWY 28L INTXN P DEP. THE PNF HAD THE TXWY DIAGRAM; WAS HANDLING COMS AND TAXI INSTRUCTIONS. AFTER XING RWY 28C; TURNING L ON TXWY F TO TXWY P; I TURNED L ON TXWY P TO RWY 28C INSTEAD OF R TO RWY 28L. THE PNF QUICKLY CORRECTED MY ERROR AND DIRECTED ME TO TURN R ON TXWY P TO RWY 28L. I FOLLOWED THE PNF'S DIRECTIONS; BUT WAS CONFUSED SINCE THE ATIS INDICATED RWY 28L&R ACTIVE AND I SAW ACFT LNDG RWY 32. I CONTINUED TAXIING TO RWY 28L VIA TXWY P; WHEN THE RWY 28L HOLD SHORT QUICKLY EMERGED. CONFUSED; I STOPPED THE ACFT WITH THE MAIN WHEELS BEHIND THE HOLD SHORT LINE AND THE FUSELAGE FORWARD OF THE MAIN WHEELS OVER THE LINE. THERE WAS NO OTHER ACFT LNDG; DEPARTING; TAXIING OR EVEN NEAR OUR VICINITY. REALIZING OUR MISTAKE; WE IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE TWR FOR TKOF (BUT DID NOT ADVISE THEM OF OUR ERROR; THE TWR DID NOT SAY ANYTHING REGARDING THIS ISSUE). WE WERE CLRED FOR TKOF AND DID SO UNEVENTFULLY. I BELIEVE THE CONTRIBUTING FACTORS WERE: NOT HAVING THE TXWY DIAGRAM IN FRONT OF ME; BEING CONFUSED AND NOT STOPPING TO CLARIFY MY SITUATIONAL AWARENESS; BEING FATIGUED FROM THE NIGHT PRIOR. THE MOST CONTRIBUTING FACTOR WAS MY FATIGUE FROM A BOUT OF BRIEF INSOMNIA THE NIGHT BEFORE. I FELT OK; BUT WAS OBVIOUSLY NOT AS MENTALLY SHARP AS I NEEDED TO BE.
