STUDENT PLT INADVERTENTLY ENTERS ACTIVE RWY AND THEN IS YELLED AT BY ATC.

Narrative

I LANDED ON THE ACTIVE RWY WHICH WAS RWY 1 AS PER THE ATIS. I EXITED RWY 1 AT G3; RPTED TO GND CTL AND WAS TOLD TO TAXI TO AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 32. I WAS FLYING A PIPER CHEROKEE AND ANOTHER CHEROKEE LANDED ON RWY 32 AND EXITED AT D1. AFTER SEVERAL MINS; GND CTL TOLD ME TO TURN L AND TO TAXI ON RWY 32. AS I DID; THE CTLR STARTS YELLING AT ME WHAT AM I DOING? I AM NOW ON THE RWY ASKING HIM/HER FOR FURTHER DIRECTIONS. I BELIEVE THAT THE CTLR MISTAKENLY DIRECTED ME INSTEAD OF THE OTHER CHEROKEE WHO HE/SHE INTENDED TO HAVE TURN L ON TXWY D. I HAD BEEN TOLD TO FOLLOW A CESSNA (I DID NOT SEE ONE). I BELIEVE THE CESSNA IN QUESTION HAD BEEN TAXIING ON TXWY D AND THE OTHER CHEROKEE IS WHO GND CTL INTENDED TO HAVE FOLLOW THE CESSNA. THE SIT WAS BREAKING DOWN WHERE THE CTLR WAS SCREAMING ORDERS AT ME; WHICH IN TURN WAS CAUSING ME TO BECOME MORE TENSE; AND I DID BEGIN TO PANIC. I MANAGED TO EXIT THE RWY AND UNDER THE CTLR'S DIRECTIONS; TAXIED BACK TO MY TIE-DOWN AREA. IN A CONVERSATION WITH THE CTLR (ON THE PHONE) HE/SHE SAID THERE WAS NO LOSS OF SEPARATION. IN REFLECTING ON THE SIT I THINK I COULD HAVE QUESTIONED THE CTLR BEFORE MOVING. I KNOW THE CTLR'S JOB IS DIFFICULT; BUT HE/SHE COULD HAVE KEPT THE SIT CALM BY NOT SCREAMING AT THE PLT (ME). I COULD HAVE HELPED BY NOT TAKING THE CTLR'S WORD AS GOSPEL. I AM GLAD THERE WAS NO INJURY OR DAMAGE TO ANYTHING; AND I HOPE THIS RPT WILL HELP TO PREVENT SIMILAR INCIDENTS.
