Narrative
BEFORE DEP FROM EGE (XA30) I CHKED ALL THE SYS AND OP OF PITOT AND STALL HEATER; LIKE USUAL. EVERYTHING CHKED OK. ON TKOF AIRSPD WAS ACCURATE. ABOUT 10 MINS INTO THE CLB AIRSPD READ 20 KTS SLOWER ON PLT SIDE THAN ON COPLT -- SO SPLIT IT DOWN THE MIDDLE. AUTOPLT FAILED EVEN THOUGH CHKED ON THE GND; AS DID YAW DAMPER. COPLT AND I FLEW THE AIRPLANE MANUALLY 1 HR EACH THEN 1/2 HR TURNS TOWARDS THE END OF THE FLT. FLEW AT FL290 USING PLT'S ALTIMETER AND RADAR EQUIP. TOLD BY CTLR ABOUT 2 1/2 HRS INTO THE FLT TO GO TO FL270 FOR TFC. REMAINED AT FL270 TO HEVVN INTXN (OFF THE COAST OF FLORIDA). INFORMED OF TFC AT FL260 -- SAW AND RPTED TFC. AT ABOUT XD30 INFORMED OF TFC AT FL280 (BY JAX CTLR) THAT SEEMED TO BE AT OUR ALT. SAW TFC A FEW MINS LATER AND RPTED TO THE CTLR THAT ACR ACFT SEEMED TO BE AT OUR ALT AND AT THE WRONG ALT. A MOMENT LATER THE ACR CAPT RPTED US ON TCASII. AFTER THIS WE TOLD THE CTLR AND SUBSEQUENT CTLR THAT OUR ALT MAY BE OFF AND WE ASKED FOR GREATER SEPARATION. NO FURTHER PROBS. LANDED SAFELY AT BCT AT XF15. UPON LNDG; AIRSPD INDICATOR AND AUTOPLT WORKED AGAIN. EQUIP AND LINES TO BE THOROUGHLY CHKED -- POSSIBLY SHOULD HAVE RPTED THAT AUTOPLT WAS NOT FUNCTIONING TO THE CTLR FOR GREATER SEPARATION?
