Narrative

WHILE HOLDING SHORT FOR THE ACTIVE RWY 19; I LISTENED TO TFC AND WAITED FOR AN INCOMING C172. AFTER THE C172 PASSED ME; I TAXIED ONTO THE ACTIVE TO HOLD UNTIL HE WAS 'CLR THE ACTIVE;' ALL THE WHILE ANNOUNCING MY INTENTIONS AND LISTENING FOR TFC. ONCE THE C172 HAD CALLED OUT THAT HE WAS 'CLR THE ACTIVE;' I CALLED OUT THAT I WAS DEPARTING ON RWY 19 FOR IMMEDIATE DEP TO THE S. AS I WAS ACCELERATING; I HEARD SOMEONE SAY THEY WERE LNDG ON RWY 19. SO I RESTATED MY INTENTIONS AND THE OVERCOMING ACFT TOLD ME TO 'ABORT TKOF -- I'M RIGHT ABOVE YOU!' I IMMEDIATELY RESPONDED BY CLOSING THE THROTTLE AND STATING MY INTENTIONS TO TAXI TO THE END OF THE RWY. AS I BEGAN TO SLOW; I AND MY PAX SAW THE OVERCOMING PLANE OFF TO OUR R BTWN 50-100 FT ABOVE US. HE THEN TURNED R AND REJOINED THE R-HAND TFC. ONCE I REACHED THE END OF THE RWY I BEGAN TO TAXI BACK TO THE ACTIVE RWY; ALL THE WHILE STATING MY INTENTIONS. I DID HAVE THE CHANCE TO SEE THE BONANZA MAKE ITS FULL STOP LNDG AND I CARRIED OUT MY ORIGINAL INTENTIONS FOR A PLEASURE FLT. IN ALL; I AM QUITE FORTUNATE THAT NO INJURIES OR DAMAGE WAS INCURRED. DESPITE NOT BEING AWARE OF THE BONANZA'S POS; OR HEARING HIM; A LESSON WAS LEARNED. AT AN UNCTLED ARPT; DO NOT TAXI ONTO THE ACTIVE RWY FOR DEP; IF THE DEP IS DEPENDENT UPON A LNDG AIRPLANE'S CALL FOR 'CLR THE ACTIVE' -- ESPECIALLY ON A BUSY DAY.
