Narrative
HAD REJECTED TKOF AT 60 KTS. MASTER CAUTION CAME ON AT ABOUT 60 KTS; BUT NO OTHER INDICATION OF PROB. EXTINGUISHED MASTER CAUTION; TAXIED CLR OF RWY. MAINT HAD JUST DEACTIVATED #2 THRUST REVERSER. DUE TO PROB WITH ELECTRONIC COMPONENT WHICH WAS ONLY INTERMITTENTLY ACTIVATING THRUST REVERSER; MAINT PULLED CIRCUIT BREAKERS; STRAPPED DOWN #2 THRUST REVERSER HANDLE. AFTER TAXIING CLR OF RWY; CALLED MAINT. TOLD THEM WHAT HAPPENED; ASKED THEM TO MEET US AT THE GATE TO CHK THRUST REVERSER AS FAR AS MASTER CAUTION LIGHT WAS CONCERNED. THEY REPLIED NO NEED TO RECHK SYS; DISPATCH DEV PROC STATES DEACTIVATION OF THRUST REVERSER MAY CAUSE SPURIOUS MASTER CAUTION LIGHT. THEY SAID NO NEED TO EXPLORE FURTHER. FO AND I DECIDED TO RETURN TO RWY; TOOK OFF WITH NO FURTHER PROB. NO REPEAT MASTER CAUTION INDICATION ON TKOF. INOP BOX CHANGED AT NEXT STATION. MY CONCERN WAS THAT MASTER CAUTION MIGHT BE UNLOCKED REVERSER. MAINT FOLK'S LACK OF CONCERN BOTHERED ME; BUT I WASN'T GOING TO GET INTO ARGUMENT WITH THEM.
