Narrative
NORMAL TKOF AND CLB OUT OF TSJS. WE WERE IN AND OUT OF THE CLOUDS ON THE CLB; NO ICING CONDITIONS WERE ENCOUNTERED; IGNITION WAS ON ALL ENGS. WE ELECTED A LEVELOFF CRUISE ALT OF FL390. THIS PUT US IN THE CLR; SMOOTH AIR. UPON REACHING FL390 I ASKED THE CAPT IF HE WAS DONE WITH THE IGNITION; HE SAID YES AT WHICH TIME I TURNED IT OFF. AS PART OF MY SCAN TO THE N1 GAUGES WHEN USING THE IGNITION I NOTICED WHAT APPEARED TO BE THE SYMPTOMS OF A FAULTY PMC ON #3 ENG. I CALLED IT OUT. WITH THE 3 OR US OBSERVING THE ENG GAUGES THE CAPT PROCLAIMED #3 TO BE FLAMING OUT. WE NOW PROCEEDED WITH THE COMPANY STANDARD OPERATING PROCS. I WOULD LIKE TO POINT OUT THAT MY FIRST ACTION UPON OBSERVING THE ERRATIC N1 WAS TO PUT THE IGNITION OVERRIDE BACK TO ALL ENGS. DURING AN APPROX 2 MIN TIME FRAME OF THE INITIAL FAILURE WE WORKED WITH ATC; PERFORMED THE CHKLISTS; WERE IN A DSCNT WHEN #4 ENG FLAMED OUT. WE PERFORMED THE APPROPRIATE CHKLISTS; GOT A FURTHER DSCNT AND VECTOR FOR THE ARPT FROM ATC. WHEN WE ARRIVED AT THE ENG RESTART ALT OF FL220 WE RESTARTED #3 AND #4 ENGS NORMALLY. LANDED TSJS NORMALLY.
