PA32 INSTRUCTOR AND TRAINEE HAD LNDG GEAR COLLAPSE AFTER EMER GEAR EXTENSION.
Narrative
I WAS IN THE R SEAT PROVIDING INST TRAINING TO THE PLT. WE LOST ALL ELECTRICAL PWR ENRTE TO ORC; CONTINUED TO ORC FOR LNDG. DID EMER GEAR EXTENSION; WAS UNABLE TO TELL IF GEAR WAS LOCKED IN THE DOWN POS BECAUSE OF THE ELECTRICAL FAILURE. I CONTINUED WITH NORMAL APCH AND LNDG. TOUCHED DOWN ON THE MAIN GEAR AND THE GEAR COLLAPSED ON ROLLOUT. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 476274: I WAS RECEIVING INST TRAINING IN THE L SEAT OF THE AFOREMENTIONED ACFT. DURING THE ENRTE PHASE OF FLT TO ORC (VFR CONDITIONS AT THE TIME) WE LOST ALL ELECTRICAL PWR. CONTINUED TO ORC TO LAND. THE INSTRUCTOR PERFORMED EMER GEAR EXTENSION AS PER CHKLIST. WE WERE UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE LOCKED CONDITION OF THE GEAR DUE TO THE PWR LOSS. THE INSTRUCTOR CONTINUED WITH A NORMAL APCH AND LNDG. AFTER A SUCCESSFUL MAIN GEAR LNDG; THE GEAR COLLAPSED ON ROLLOUT. WE SKIDDED ON THE RWY WITH NO DAMAGE TO ANY ARPT PROPERTY. DAMAGE ON THE ACFT WAS LIMITED TO THE PROP; STEP AND SCRATCHING OF THE L INNER FLAP AREA. THERE WAS NO STRUCTURAL DAMAGE OR PERSONAL INJURY INVOLVED.
