Narrative

DECELERATING THROUGH 90 KTS ON LNDG ROLL; TWR ISSUED OUR ACFT A 'R TURNOFF' AND SOMETHING ELSE ABOUT A TXWY AND A RWY. AFTER CLRING THE RWY; THE CLRNC WAS REISSUED AS 'L ON TXWY T HOLD SHORT OF RWY 27L; MONITOR 120.75.' AT 90 KTS DURING A CRITICAL PHASE OF FLT. WHY DOES ORD TWR EXPECT ME TO BE CONCENTRATING ON REMEMBERING AND READING BACK TAXI AND HOLD SHORT INSTRUCTIONS. MY DUTIES ARE TO MONITOR ACFT DECELERATION; PROPER GND TRACK; PROPER BRAKING ACTION AND BE SPRING LOADED TO TAKE ACFT CTL; IN THE EVENT OF ANY PROBS. THIS PROB OF TWR ISSUING CLRNCS DURING HIGH SPD LNDG ROLLOUT IS HAPPENING ON A DAILY BASIS. IT NEEDS TO STOP. ALSO DURING THIS APCH; AN ACFT WAS CLRED FOR TKOF ON OUR LNDG RWY; WHEN WE WERE AT 1100 FT AGL. THE DEPARTING ACFT LINED UP WHEN WE WERE AT 580 FT AGL (2 MI OUT; 1 MIN FROM TOUCHDOWN). THE DEPARTING ACFT BROKE GND; WHEN WE WERE AT 120 FT AGL (1000 FT FROM THE THRESHOLD; 10 SECONDS FROM TOUCHING DOWN). THIS TYPE OF OP IS ALSO BECOMING COMMONPLACE AT O'HARE. LET'S GET SAFETY BACK AS A PRIORITY -- NOT HOW MANY ACFT WE CAN CRAM INTO 1 AIRFIELD. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR CONCERNED WITH THE 'CONSTANT' TIGHT ARR/DEP SEQUENCING. HE FLIES INTO ORD FREQ.
