C172 PLT HAD BLOCKED FREQ AT SDL.

Narrative

I HAD JUST LANDED ON RWY 21 (FULL STOP). LCL CTLR SAID EXIT AT A7 AND CONTACT GND (121.6). I ROGERED AND COMPLIED. I TAXIED SO THAT MY ACFT CLRED THE HOLD SHORT LINE AND SWITCHED TO GND. FREQ WAS QUIET; SO I CALLED AND ADVISED OF MY INTENDED PARKING LOCATION. AS SOON AS MY XMISSION ENDED; THE CTLR SAID SIMPLY; 'ENTER THE RAMP AT A4.' THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE OUT OF THE WAY; BUT NOT TOTALLY UNREASONABLE; I THOUGHT. I THEN PROCEEDED TO THE SW ON TXWY A. CTLR THEN SAID; 'ACFT ON TXWY A; SAY CALL SIGN.' I PAUSED A MOMENT TO SEE IF SOMEONE ELSE RESPONDED. NO ONE DID; SO I SAID MY CALL SIGN AND THAT I WAS PROCEEDING SBOUND ON TXWY A. CTLR SAID 'ENTER THE RAMP.' I COMPLIED. AT THE TIME OF THE ORIGINAL 'ENTER THE RAMP AT A4' BY THE CTLR; I FELT THAT THE CTLR WAS JUST SLOPPY IN NOT USING MY CALL SIGN. IN REALITY; I THINK WHAT HAPPENED WAS AS I CALLED FOR TAXI CLRNC TO PARKING; CTLR SIMULTANEOUSLY GAVE INSTRUCTIONS TO ANOTHER ACFT; OPPOSITE DIRECTION DOWN FIELD. I ASSUMED THE INSTRUCTIONS 'ENTER THE RAMP AT A4' WERE FOR ME. I'VE BEEN FLYING LONG ENOUGH TO NEVER ASSUME ANYTHING. I SHOULD HAVE VERIFIED THAT THE CLRNC WAS FOR ME.
