Narrative

DURING THE BOARDING PROCESS (USING 'BY ROW' PROC); A FEMALE PAX APCHED ME; HANDED ME A BOARDING PASS. I TOLD HER THAT HER ROW HAD NOT BEEN CALLED; TO PLEASE STEP ASIDE UNTIL IT WAS CALLED. SHE BECAME ENRAGED. SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE HAD BEEN WAITING FOR X MINS AND SHE WASN'T WAITING ANY LONGER. SHE SAID SHE KNEW WE DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH SEATS; SO SHE WAS GETTING ON NOW 'PERIOD.' SHE THREW HER BOARDING PASS AT ME AND STORMED DOWN THE JETBRIDGE. I IMMEDIATELY NOTIFIED THE GATE AGENT; AFTER ASKING ALL PAX TO STEP BACK AND AWAY FROM BOARDING DOOR. I HEARD THE PAX HOLLERING AT THE AGENT. THE AGENT CAME OUT OF THE JETBRIDGE; SAYING SHE WAS GOING TO CALL SECURITY. THIS WAS NEVER FOLLOWED THROUGH ON. THE CAPT WAS INFORMED OF THE SIT AND DECIDED TO LET HER STAY ONBOARD; AFTER TELLING THE PAX IF SHE WAS ANY MORE TROUBLE; THE POLICE WOULD BE CALLED. THE FLT TOOK OFF 1 HR LATE. THIS MAY HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE PAX'S AIR RAGE. IN MY PERSONAL OPINION; ESPECIALLY AFTER THE ACR X INCIDENT; THIS WAS A SERIOUS SECURITY BREACH. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THAT HE LABELED THE INCIDENT AS A SECURITY BREACH; BECAUSE THAT WAS WHAT THE GATE AGENT CALLED IT -- 'ANOTHER SECURITY BREACH;' AS HE RAN DOWN THE JETWAY AFTER THE PAX.
