A B737-200 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH A #2 ENG MOUNT YOKE BUSHING MISSING AFTER INSTALLATION OF REPLACEMENT YOKE.
Narrative
DURING A LETTER CHK ON SHIP XYZ; ACR 737-200 ON AUG/FRI/00; XJ00 HRS THE INSPECTION DEPT FOUND A MIGRATED FORWARD MOUNT YOKE BEARING. I WAS INVOLVED IN THE ENG DROP AND MOUNT YOKE REPLACEMENT. I BELIEVED THE YOKE WAS INSTALLED PER THE ROUTINE CARDS AND MAINT MANUAL AT THE END OF MY SHIFT. WHEN I RPTED TO WORK ON AUG/MON/00; AT XI00 HRS THE INSPECTION DEPT HAD BEEN LOOKING AT THE REMOVED YOKE FROM SHIP XYZ THAT HAD NOT BEEN SHIPPED FOR REWORK; AND DISCOVERED A BUSHING AT THE INBOARD MOUNT HOLE WAS STILL IN THE OLD YOKE. IT WAS BROUGHT TO MY ATTN TO SEE. WE MIGHT HAVE MISSED THE INSTALLATION OF THE BUSHING. AFTER REVIEWING THE MANUALS WE WERE SURE THE BUSHING WAS NOT INSTALLED ON THE NEW YOKE. WE THEN RPTED IT TO THE MAINT FOREMAN AND TOLD HIM WE NEEDED TO TAKE SHIP XYZ OTS. THE ACFT WAS AT XXX ARPT AND A CREW WAS SENT TO INSTALL THE BUSHING. THE ACFT WAS RETURNED TO SVC ON AUG/TUE/00. AFTER REVIEWING HOW WE MISSED THE BUSHING WE FOUND THE MAINT MANUAL AND OUR ROUTINE CARDS LACKING DETAIL FOR THE BUSHING INSTALLATION.
