Narrative
ACFT Y WAS GIVEN DSCNT ON INITIAL CONTACT AND REQUESTED DISCRETION; TOLD TO 'BEGIN DSCNT NOW AND EXPECT A RESTR.' ACFT X WAS CLBING BENEATH ANOTHER ACFT WHO RPTED ICE AND NEEDED LOWER IMMEDIATELY. RADAR ASSOCIATE TRAINEE WAS VERY NEW; AND HIM AND TRAINER WERE NOT VERY HELPFUL ON POINTING OUT EMER TO APCH. MEANWHILE; I WAS SPINNING AN ARR WHO ALSO NEEDED A POINTOUT THAT HAD NOT BEEN DONE. ACFT Y WAS ONLY DSNDING AT 500 FPM AND WAS TOLD TO EXPEDITE TURN. ACFT X WAS TOLD TO EXPEDITE CLB AND TURN. D-SIDE CLRED OFF A NON RADAR DEP AND DIDN'T ADVISE ME; AUTO-ACQUIRED UNDERNEATH ANOTHER FLT WITH THE SAME ALT. DEP STRIP WAS NOT IN THE BAY. MY TRAINER SAID 'IT'S NOT WORKING WITH ACFT'S X AND Y.' AMENDED THE ALTS; BUT THEY BOTH HAD ALREADY GONE THROUGH THEM. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 485600: TRAINING AT CIP SECTOR ZOB (71) TRAINEE FPL XFERRED FROM ANOTHER FACILITY WITH 4 OUT OF 6 SECTORS ALREADY CERTIFIED ON; 10-15 HRS EXPERIENCE AT CIP SECTOR. DEPS FROM PIT INBOUND TO PIT WHICH WE WERE SPINNING ONE INBOUND FOR ACCEPTANCE TO PIT. DEP OFF OF DUB ARPT WITHIN OUR SECTOR THAT WE WORK AND UP. ICING WITH ANOTHER ACFT CLBING IN THE DEP FLT PATH AT PIT; THAT NEEDED A LOWER ALT. 16 DATA BLOCKS ON SCREEN. TRAINEE WAS DOING A GOOD JOB UNTIL SHE FORCED THE ACFT TOGETHER. BY THE TIME SHE HEARD ME SAY IT WASN'T GOING TO WORK; STOPPING BOTH ACFT; STILL IT WAS TOO LATE.
