Narrative
POSSIBLE ENTRY TO CLASS C AIRSPACE; CONTACTED MKE APCH WELL BEFORE ENTRY INTO CLASS C AIRSPACE AT KENOSHA; WI. RPTED AT 3500 FT AND WISHED TO TRANSITION AIRSPACE TO WEST BEND VFR; NBOUND. AFTER REPEATED CALLS BEING NOT RETURNED; I WAS GIVEN A SQUAWK CODE AND TOLD TO REMAIN CLR OF CLASS C AIRSPACE. I WAS ON N HDG BELIEVE TO BE ON WESTERN FRINGES OF AIRSPACE; DROPPED DOWN FROM 3500 FT TO 2000 FT; THEN 16000 FT STEERING FURTHER NW ASKING CTLR IF HE WANTED ME FURTHER OR DIFFERENT ALT. THEN CTLR ASKED ME TO CALL SUPVR UPON LNDG AT WEST BEND; WHICH I DID. AFTER THAT CONVERSATION; SUPVR SAID WAS INADVERTENT AND WAS NOT BEING WRITTEN UP; AND I THANKED HIM AND ON RETURN TRIP I CIRCUMNAVED THE CLASS C AIRSPACE. I BELIEVE BOTH PLTS AND CTLRS CAN WORK TOGETHER. IF THERE WAS SOME QUESTION THAT I WOULD HAVE TO HAVE SAID WAS NEW ALT OR HDG ESPECIALLY AFTER SQUAWK CODE WAS GIVEN; AT THE SAME TIME IF IT IS POSSIBLE NOT TO HAVE TO TRANSITION THE CLASS C AREA; I WILL CIRCUMNAV THE AREA. I AM OF THE BELIEF WE CAN ALL MAKE INADVERTENT MISTAKES AND CORRECT THEM THE FASTEST WAY POSSIBLE. FOR ALL OF OUR SAFETY AT THE TIME AIRSPACE AND WX WAS CLR UNRESTR.
