FLC OF A B767-300 WENT PAST THE INBOUND LOC COURSE DUE TO THE WRONG RWY LOC COURSE SETTING.
Narrative
WHILE BEING VECTORED TO AN APCH FOR RWY 18R AT DFW; APCH CHANGED OUR RWY TO RWY 13R. APCH GAVE US A HDG OF 110 DEGS TO INTERCEPT THE RWY 13R LOC. ATIS HAD NO INFO ABOUT APCHS TO RWY 13R -- IT ONLY SAID ILS RWY 18R; RWY 18L; RWY 17. WHILE CHANGING APCHS IN THE ELECTRONICS AND APCH PLATES AND SETTING UP FOR THE NEW APCH; WE WERE TOLD BY THE FLT ATTENDANT IN CHARGE THAT PAX WERE IN NEED OF ELECTRIC CARTS AND WHEEL CHAIRS. THIS WAS AT ABOUT THE SAME TIME THAT WE WERE INTERCEPTING THE RWY 13R LOC. IN THE MILD RUSH TO GET SET UP FOR THE NEW APCH; THE FRONT COURSE SETTING OF THE CTR ILS WAS NOT SET TO 138 DEGS RATHER IT WAS SET TO THE INBOUND COURSE FOR RWY 18R WHICH IS 174 DEGS. UPON TURNING TOWARD THE LOC COURSE; THE ACFT TURNED PAST THE INBOUND COURSE TO A HDG OF APPROX 170 DEGS UPON WHICH WE WERE ASKED BY APCH WHAT OUR HDG WAS. WE TOLD APCH 170 DEGS AND CORRECTING. WE AGAIN RECEIVED A 110 DEG HDG TO INTERCEPT THE LOC. WE DID AND LANDED. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS: 1) NOT HAVING RWY 13R IN USE ON ATIS. 2) DISTR BY FLT ATTENDANT OF PNF; MISSED BACKUP. 3) STRONG S WIND 180 DEGS AT 50 KTS. 4) SHORTNESS OF TIME TO SWITCH APCHS.
