Narrative
ON A PART 91 REPOS FLT FROM NE PHILADELPHIA TO VRB; WE WERE LEVEL OUT OF FL430 TO FL390 N OF ORMOND BEACH. WE WERE TALKING TO ZJX. WE WERE CLRED DIRECT ORMOND BEACH DIRECT VRB; WHICH WAS PLUGGED INTO THE FMS. ZJX THEN CLRED US TO DSND FROM FL390 TO FL330 ALONG THE RTE. WE ACKNOWLEDGED AND DSNDED. WE DID NOT HAVE ANOTHER RADIO CALL FOR SOME TIME. WE NOTICED THAT WE WERE ONLY 60 OR SO MI FROM VRB; SO WE QUERIED THE CTR FOR LOWER. THE CTLR ACTED SURPRISED WHEN WE CALLED HIM; AND HE INFORMED US THAT WE SHOULD BE ON ANOTHER FREQ. WE CALLED THE NEXT CTR SECTOR AND; HE TOLD US HE WAS TRYING TO CONTACT US FOR THE PAST 10 MINS. HE SAID THAT WE WERE IN A 'HOT' RESTR AREA AND THAT WE SHOULD CONTACT ZMA FOR LOWER. WE EXPLAINED WE NEVER GOT A HDOF FROM ZJX. WE CALLED ZMA; THEY DSNDED US; AND WE LANDED AT VRB. MY FO AND I DISCUSSED IT; AND NEITHER OF US RECALL THE CTLR SENDING US TO ANOTHER CTLR. WE MAY HAVE BEEN DISTR WITH PLANNING THE APCH AND SETTING RADIOS AND NAV EQUIP. HOWEVER; AFTER THIS; WE BECAME MORE VIGILANT ON RADIO CALLS AND SPLITTING UP DETAILS AND WORKLOADS.
