Narrative

WE WERE BUSY TALKING AND DIDN'T REALIZE HOW CLOSE WE WERE TO THE ARPT. SHOULD HAVE ASKED TO DSND. CTLR ASKED US TO DSND TO MAKE A FIX; ASKED IF WE COULD MAKE IT. WE TOLD HIM WE WOULD BE CLOSE. I GOT BUSY TRYING TO MAKE DSCNT. BEHIND ACFT. I MISSED PROC TURN. CAPT WAS BUSY; HEAD DOWN; PROGRAMMING FIXES TO RWY. HE CAUGHT IT HEADS UP. WE TURNED TOO LATE. ATC CORRECTED LATE TURN. LATER ON; GAVE US A QUICK TURN INTO BASE TO FINAL AHEAD OF OTHER TFC (SLAM DUNK). CAPT CALLED ARPT. I MADE TURN TO FINAL; BUT OVERSHOT AND STARTED DSCNT ON TOP OF OTHER TFC. GOT TCASII WARNING; CORRECTED BY STEEP TURN. CAUSES: 1) DIDN'T HAVE ARPT (CAPT CALLED IT WITHOUT ME SEEING IT). 2) APCH GIVING US A LATE DSCNT. 3) TWR GIVING US A 'SLAM DUNK.' 4) CAPT HEADS DOWN; PROGRAMMING DUE TO LATE CHKLISTS. 5) FATIGUE ON BOTH OF US. 6) COM BTWN CAPT AND FO; ONLY WE GOT BEHIND IT. PROGRESSED WORSE BUT WE DIDN'T REALIZE WE WERE BEHIND TILL TOO LATE. ALSO; I THINK CAPT RELAXED WITH ME; SO HE DIDN'T DOUBLECHK WHAT I WAS DOING.
