SCATTERED CLOUDS WITH 10+ MI VISIBILITY AND WIND NNE AT 12 KTS. CLRED FOR VISUAL APCH TO RWY 30L. VREF ON 133 KIAS AT FLAPS 42 DEGS. TOUCHDOWN WAS 1500 FT DOWN RWY IN A R XWIND. REVERSE AND ROLLOUT WERE NORMAL. BTWN TXWY A7 AND TXWY D; AT APPROX 60 KIAS; TWR TOLD US TO EXIT R ON TXWY C; WHICH IS SHORT OF THE RWY 4/22 INTXN. FO ACKNOWLEDGED 'WILCO; R ON TXWY C.' I APPLIED FIRM BRAKES BUT SPD WAS ABOVE A BRISK WALK AND TOO FAST TO MAKE A 90 DEG R TURN. TWR MUST HAVE SEEN THIS COMING AND SAID 'ACR XYZ; STOP.' I STOPPED APPROX 70 FT SHORT OF THE RWY 4/22 INTXN AND SAW A SAAB COMING TO A STOP ON RWY 22 SHORT OF TXWY A. I ASKED THE TWR IF THERE WAS A PROB AND THE REPLY WAS NEGATIVE. THE REAL REASON I'M RPTING THIS IS TO ALERT OTHER CREWS THAT DURING HIGH DENSITY PERIODS AT MSP; INSTRUCTIONS LIKE THIS ARE BECOMING COMMON. EVEN THOUGH WE ARE NOT AUTH TO LAHSO AT MSP; YOU MAY GET INSTRUCTIONS WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION THAT ARE EFFECTIVELY DOING THE SAME THING. SIMULTANEOUS RWY OPS WERE ALSO NOT MENTIONED AND THE CHART HAS 2 RWY INCURSION HOT SPOTS HIGHLIGHTED AT THAT INTXN; SO HEADS UP AT MSP.
