A D328 CREW HAD A LOSS OF COMMUNICATIONS WITH ATC; (WRONG FREQUENCY) SPAWNING POSSIBLE INTERCEPT PLANS.
Narrative
ON 11/TUE/01 ACR X AT APPROX XA30 AM WE WERE HANDED OFF FROM ZZZ1 ATC TO A NEW CTR FREQ. TO THE BEST OF MY RECOLLECTION I ACKNOWLEDGED THE NEW FREQ AND MADE CONTACT WITH THE NEW CTLR. AFTER SOME TIME HAD PASSED APPROX 6-8 MINS; WE BEGAN TO HEAR OVER THE FREQ A VOICE READING OUT CLRNC DELIVERY INFO. WE QUICKLY RETURNED TO THE LAST FREQ TO FIND THAT ATC HAD BEEN LOOKING FOR US. I WAS GIVEN A NEW FREQ AND MADE CONTACT. WE WERE ALSO CONTACTED BY OUR COMPANY DISPATCH AND TOLD THAT ZZZ2 CTR WAS TRYING TO MAKE CONTACT WITH US. AFTER RETURNING TO ZZZ ARPT THE CHIEF PLT TOLD US THAT MILITARY ACFT HAD BEEN DISPATCHED TO INTERCEPT US. WE WERE ALSO ADVISED THAT ZZZ2 CTR WAS GOING TO INVESTIGATE THE SITUATION. WE NEVER DEVIATED FROM OUR FLT PLAN AND ONCE WE REALIZED WE HAD LOST COMMUNICATION WE IMMEDIATELY MADE CONTACT WITH OUR LAST RADIO FREQ. IT IS MY OPINION THAT WITH THE CURRENT RADIO PROCS THIS TYPE OF SIT WILL CONTINUE TO BE A PROB. I BELIEVE THAT WE; THE CREW; MADE GOOD JUDGEMENTS AND DECISIONS TO CORRECT THE SIT AND OPERATED THE ACFT SAFELY.
