AN RV6A PLT VIOLATED A TFR INVOLVING A PWR PLANT.

Narrative

AT APPROX XA30 AM OR SO; ON 11/FRI/01; I CALLED FLT SVC FOR A STANDARD VFR BRIEFING. I ASKED FOR WX AND ANY APPLICABLE NOTAMS. THE BRIEFER ASKED ME IF I WAS AWARE OF THE RECENT FLT RESTRS THAT WERE APPLICABLE. I SAID THAT I WAS AWARE OF THE FLT RESTRS IN GENERAL; BUT I DIDN'T KNOW WHERE THEY WERE. I STATED MY ROUTE OF FLT. I WAS NOT GIVEN ANY INDICATION OR INFO TO THE FACT THAT THERE WERE ANY OF THESE TFRS (TEMPORARY FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS) IN MY DIRECT ROUTE. I TOOK THIS FOR A GO-AHEAD FOR AN UNASSISTED VFR FLT. I DID NOT FILE A FLT PLAN. I TOOK OFF FROM ZZZ AND FLEW DIRECTLY TOWARDS ZZZ1. I HAD MY XPONDER SQUAWKING 1200 THE ENTIRE TIME USING MODE C. I WAS UTILIZING MY GPS SO I WAS WITHIN A MILE OF MY PLANNED FLT PATH. I OVERFLEW ZZZ1 THEN TURNED DIRECTLY TOWARD THE NEXT WAY POINT BETWEEN ZZZ1 AND ZZZ2. THIS WAS ZZZ3 WHEN I WAS APPROX 10 TO 15 MI FROM THE ARPT; I TUNED IN ZZZ3. THE AWOS SAID THE ARPT WAS CLOSED DUE TO THE RECENT NOTAM. NOTHING MORE. I DIDN'T THINK THIS ARPT WAS CLOSED BECAUSE IT WAS INSIDE ONE OF THOSE TFRS. I FOUND OUT LATER; I WAS WRONG! THE BRIEFER DIDN'T SAY ANY TFRS WERE IN MY FLT PATH. I THEN PROCEEDED (NOT KNOWINGLY AT THIS TIME) DIRECTLY THRU ONE OR TWO TFRS IN THAT AREA. I THINK MY APPROXIMATE ALTITUDE AT THAT TIME WAS 4500 FT OR SO. I ALTERED MY FLT PLAN SLIGHTLY AND HEADED TOWARDS ZZZ3. I FLEW JUST S OF ZZZ3. I CONTACTED THEIR UNICOM AND ASKED FOR A LANDING ADVISORY. THEY COMPLIED AND RPTED NOTHING SPECIAL. I LANDED. I HAD BREAKFAST. I THOUGHT I SHOULD CALL FLT SVC AGAIN; BEFORE TAKING OFF ON MY FINAL LEG TOWARD ZZZ1. I WAS INFORMED ABOUT THE TFR JUST W OF THAT ARPT. THE OUTER RING WAS ONLY ONE TO TWO MILES AWAY! I LANDED AT MMM WITHOUT INCIDENT AND WITHOUT VIOLATING THAT TFR. AFTER LANDING; I WAS TOLD THAT CTR CALLED ME. I WAS ASKED TO CALL THEM. I DIDN'T KNOW WHY. I CALLED. HE SAID HE THOUGHT IT WAS ME THAT VIOLATED AIRSPACE. I SAID I WAS NOT AWARE OF ANY THAT I VIOLATED. WHERE? I WAS UNSURE AT THAT TIME WHICH ONE HE WAS TALKING ABOUT. IT WASN'T UNTIL I CAME HOME; AND GOT ON THE INTERNET; THAT I REALIZED THAT I REALLY DID VIOLATE ONE OF THOSE DARNED TFRS. LOOKING BACK; IF I WOULD HAVE KNOWN TO GET ON THE INTERNET; AND GET ON THE AVIATION WEB SITE; I COULD HAVE PRINTED ALL THESE TFRS OUT. IT SURE IS DIFFICULT TO TELL WHERE THESE THINGS ARE IF YOU ARE NOT TOLD DURING A BRIEFING THAT THEY ARE IN YOUR FLT PATH. THEY ARE NOT DEPICTED ON THE MAPS. I CALLED A BRIEFER AND DISCUSSED IT WITH HIM LATER. HE SAID THEY DID NOT HAVE ANY MAPS THERE. I WONDERED THEN; HOW IN THE WORLD THEY BE ABLE TO WARN ME IF THESE TFRS ARE IN MY FLT PATH?
