BE20 CREW WAS GIVEN CONFUSING CLRNC TO TAXI CLR OF RWY 13 IN THE AREA OF TXWY B2 AT ABE. RWY 13-31 HOLD SHORT MARKINGS IN THE AREA ARE NOT PRESENT AND TXWY B2 NOT CLRLY MARKED.

Narrative

WE WERE NUMBER ONE ON A VISUAL APCH IN FRONT OF ANOTHER ACFT. LNDG RWY 13 WE CAME TO A STOP JUST BEYOND TXWY 'A'. WE ADVISED TWR THAT WE COULD DO A 180 DEG TURN AND EXIT 'A' (TOWARD ZZZ FBO). THERE WAS SOME HESITATION BY TWR FOLLOWED BY 'EXIT LEFT THERE AND MAKE SHARP RIGHT TURN ON B2; OR YOU CAN DO A 180 DEG. AS SOON AS I HEARD THE FIRST PART OF THE TOWER'S XMISSION; I STARTED TO EXIT LEFT; OFF THE RWY. I FELT THAT WITH THE ACFT LNDG BEHIND ME I NEEDED TO EXIT QUICKLY. I CONTINUED TO EXIT LEFT OFF THE RWY AND I SAW A SIGN THAT SAID 'B2'. THE SIGN WHICH I SAW SEEMED TO INDICATE A SHARP LEFT TURN FOR 'B2'. I WANTED TO CONTINUE TO CLR THE RWY SO I MADE THE SHARP LEFT TURN ONTO THE TXWY. THIS TXWY TURNED OUT TO BE TXWY 'A'. I WAS STILL IN FRONT OF THE HOLD SHORT LINE. I NEVER SAW A HOLD SHORT LINE AND AM NOT SURE THAT IF I WOULD HAVE MADE A SHARP RIGHT TURN ON TXWY B2 (IE A 180 DEG) THAT I WOULD HAVE BEEN CLR EITHER. I HELD MY POSITION AND THE TWR CLRED THE FOLLOWING ACFT TO LAND. WE TAXIED ACROSS RWY 13 AND INTO ZZZ FBO WHEN INSTRUCTED BY TWR NOTHING WAS SAID BY TWR WHOM WE STAYED WITH AS INSTRUCTED INTO THE FBO. AFTER COMPLETING THE FINAL LEG OF THE TRIP I CALLED THE TWR AT ABE AND SPOKE TO A CTLR THERE WHO CHKED WITH THE SUPERVISOR AND THEY DID TELL ME THAT THERE ARE NO HOLD SHORT LINES ON THAT SECTION OF A OR B2. I BELIEVE THIS SIT COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED BY A CLEAR DESCRIPTION OF TAXI INSTRUCTIONS AND BETTER PLACEMENT OF TXWY SIGNS. I ALSO COULD HAVE ASKED FOR CLARIFICATION FROM TWR AFTER ENCOUNTERING CONFLICTING INSTRUCTIONS. MY CO-PLT DID NOT DISAGREE WITH OUR EFFORTS TO CLR THE RWY.
