A 9A28 PLT LANDED AT THE WRONG ARPT WITHOUT A CLRNC.
Narrative
CINCINNATI LUNKEN (LUK) ARPT; I BELIEVE; WAS MY DEST ARPT; AND I CONTACTED CINCINNATI NORTHERN KY (CVG) ATIS AND CTL TWR FOR CLRNC TO THEIR CLASS B AIRSPACE; STATING; GOING TO LUNKEN. CLRNC WAS GRANTED; AND I CONTACTED LUNKENS CTL TWR. SEEING THAT LUK HAD A 483 FT ARPT ELEVATION SHOWN ON THE SECTIONAL; I RE-CONTACTED CVG CTL TWR AND ASKED IF THAT WAS CORRECT AS NEARBY CVG WAS AT 897 FT. CVG RESPONDED THAT; YES; LUK WAS 483 FT; AND WAS SOMETIME CALLED SUNKEN LUNKEN. MY INTERPRETATION OF THE CINCINNATI SECTIONAL CHART WAS THAT I WAS GOING TO THE UNCONTROLLED CLERMONT COUNTY ARPT (I69); AS IT HAD AN FBO BOX ON THE CHART; THINKING THAT IT WAS LUK. I USED A STANDARD PATTERN APCH; ENTERING A 45 DEG INTO DOWNWIND; FOR RWY 21L; FROM WHICH I HAD SEEN A PLANE LEAVE. I CONTINUED TO SWITCH FROM LUK CTL TWR TO UNICOM AND GOT NO RESPONSE. UPON LNDG; I TOOK A R HAND TXWY TOWARDS HANGARS; AND REASKED CTL TWR WHERE FBOS HANGAR WAS; AND DIRECTION PLEASE. I WAS INFORMED I SHOULD PHONE THE CTL TWR IMMEDIATELY; FROM THEIR ADMIN BUILDING. I COMPLIED WITH ALL REQUESTS; AND IDENTIFIED MYSELF; WITH ACFT N NUMBER; AND MY ADDRESS. CTL TWR INFORMED ME; BY INITIAL; AND ONLY; PHONE CONVERSATION; THAT I WOULD BE HEARING FROM THEM; BY MAIL AND OR TELEPHONE; AT MY HOME. I DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO INTERNET. SINCE I WAS ONLY A FEW HUNDRED YARDS FROM THE CINCINNATI FAA FSDO OFFICE; I WENT THERE; TO OBTAIN THIS NASA ASRS FORM. I AM GUILTY OF LNDG AT A TWR CONTROLLED ARPT (LUK); WITHOUT CLRNC TO LAND; DUE TO MY MISREADING A SECTIONAL CHART; BELIEVING I WAS GOING INTO A NON-CONTROLLED ARPT (CLERMONT COUNTY I69). OVER 95 PERCENT OF MY FLYING THE PAST 20 YRS HAS BEEN IN MICHIGAN; AND I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH OH ARPTS. CHK SECTIONAL VERY CLOSELY; AND DONT BE DISTRACTED BY PAX CHATTERING ON 4 OUTLET INNER-COMS.
