A B767-300 FLT FAILS TO FOLLOW THEIR ASSIGNED RTE CLRNC VIA A PDC; WITH CREW ATTEMPTING TO FOLLOW THE FLT PLAN RTE FILED ON A NIGHT DEP FROM PDX; OR.

Narrative

OUR PDC 'ATC CLRNC' READ 'BTG J15 IMB THEN AS FILED;' WHEREAS THE 'FLT PLAN ROUTING' READ 'PDX IMB J15 BOI ATL;' IDENTICAL TO OUR FLT PLAN. ON CLBOUT OFF RWY 10R; FO FLEW A 080 DEG HDG TO INTERCEPT THE PDX 085 DEG RADIAL ON THE RIVER 6 SID; AND OVERFLEW THE RADIAL. I TOLD HIM TO URN BACK RIGHT AND REINTERCEPT. THEN DEP CTL (118.1) TOLD US TO TAKE UP A 100 DEG HDG TO INTERCEPT J15. I STILL DIDN'T REALIZE THAT INSTEAD OF INTERCEPTING THE PDX 085 DEG RADIAL ON THE SID; WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE TRACKING THE BTG 115 DEG ON J15 TO IMB. THE WE WERE SUBSEQUENTLY GIVEN A 'FURTHER RIGHT TO 130 DEG HDG TO INTERCEPT; AND ASKED; 'DID YOU GET A PDC?' WE SAID 'YES; THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP.' FO AGAIN DELAYED ENTERING THE CORRECT ROUTING IN THE FMS; AND I COULDN'T FIND J15 OFF BTG TO MANUALLY ENTER HT RADIAL RAW DATA ON MY VOR. THE NEXT CENTER FREQ CTLR SAID; 'THAT'S ALRIGHT; CLRED DIRECT BOI.' AGAIN; MY FO DID NOT CHANGE THE FMS TO DIRECT BOI UNTIL I ASKED HIM WHAT HE WAS DOING! HE SEEMED BEHIND THE ENTIRE FLT. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 535771: THIS SERVED AS A WAKE-UP CALL TO ME TO BE MUCH MORE THOROUGH IN MY FLT PLANNING AND SIT AWARENESS.
