AFTER PARKING AT THE RAMP AN A319 ROLLS BACK FOUR FT AND HAS ITS FWD PAC DOOR DAMAGED BY THE JETWAY AFTER THE CAPT RELEASED THE BRAKES WITH CHOCKS SUPPOSEDLY IN PLACE AT PHL; PA.
Narrative
WE PARKED AT GATE IN PHL. WE COMPLETED THE AFTER LNDG CHKLIST; THE PARKING BRAKE WAS LEFT ON. I COMPLETED RESETTING THE COMPUTERS FOR THE NEXT FLT. THE JETWAY WAS BROUGHT UP TO THE ACERT AND PAX STARTED TO DEPLANE. I GOT UP TO USE THE RESTROOM. WHEN I ENTERED THE RESTROOM THE CAPT RECEIVED THE CHOCKS IN SIGNAL AND RELEASED THE BRAKES. THE FLT ATTENTION BANGED ON THE RESTROOM DOOR TO ACFT ME THAT THE JETWAY WAS MOVING. I CAME OUT OF THE DOOR AND SAW THE JET WAY UP AGAINST THE OPEN DOOR. THE CAPT HAD BY THEN REENGAGED THE PARKING BRAKE. I NEVER FELT THE ACFT MOVING BUT IT WAS APPARENT FROM THE WHEEL TRACKS THAT IT HAD MOVED BACK APPROX 4 FT. THE GATE AGENT RTNED TO THE JETWAY AND TRIED TO RAISE THE HOOD AWAY FROM THE ACFT. IT WAS WEDGED IN THE DOOR AND THE HOOD MOVEMENT STARTED TO BEND THE TOP OF THE DOOR. I SHOUTED FOR THE AGENT TO STOP THE JETWAY. THE ACFT WAS SUBSEQUENT TOWED FORWARD AND THE JETWAY REMOVED. IT WAS NOT APPARENT TO ME WHETHER THE DAMAGE TO THE DOOR WAS CAUSED BY THE ACFT MOVEMENT OR THE ATTEMPT TO GET THE JETWAY OFF. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 535553: AFTER APPROX 5 MINS; I RECEIVED THE 'CHOCKS IN' SIGNAL FROM A GND PERSONNEL. I RELEASED PARKING BRAKE. ACFT SLID AND THE MAIN CAB DOOR WAS UP AGAINST JETWAY BY THE TIME I RESET THE PARKING BRAKE. GATE AGENT CAME BACK DOWN TO REMOVE CANOPY OF JETWAY AND RESET JETWAY. UPON DOING SO; JETWAY PULLED BACK SKIN OF DOOR; DAMAGING THE DOOR A LITTLE BIT. ACFT WAS REPOSITIONED AND PAX CONTINUED DEPLANING.
