Synopsis

AT A NON CTLED ARPT; A BL8 PLT TOUCHED DOWN PRIOR TO PRECEDING ACFT CLRING THE RWY.

Narrative

WHETHER AN ACTUAL INCURSION ACTUALLY HAPPENED IS QUESTIONABLE; AS DEFINED BY FAA REGS; BUT PLT IN OTHER ACFT WAS VISIBLY AGITATED UPON PARKING OF ACFT; SO I THOUGHT IT PRUDENT TO SUBMIT THIS FORM AS A PRECAUTION. SIT: UPON MY FINAL; OTHER ACFT (C152) WITH STUDENT PLT AT CTLS; WAS TURNING OFF ACTIVE RWY WHEN MY ACFT TOUCHED DOWN AT THE NUMBERS (RWY 35). THE PATTERN WAS EXTREMELY BUSY AND I FELT THERE WOULD BE PLENTY OF SEPARATION (4000 FT RWY) BTWN MY TOUCHING DOWN AND HIS IMMINENT DEP TO THE TXWY. I SET DOWN AND BEGAN TAXIING TO EXIT UPON HEARING AN OVER-FREQ REMARK FROM THE CFI ABOARD THE C152 THAT I HAD JUST CAUSED A RWY INCURSION. I WAS A BIT SHOCKED BECAUSE THERE WAS 4000 FT OF RWY BTWN ACFT AND NO 'IMMEDIATE COLLISION' DANGER. I CHOSE NOT TO RESPOND TO HIM AND TAXIED TO PARKING. APPARENTLY; HE WAS AGITATED BECAUSE HE HAD NOT YET CROSSED THE RWY/TXWY HOLD SHORT LINE. I REALIZE THAT AREA IS PART OF THE ACTIVE RWY BUT AS STATED PRIOR THERE WAS NO DANGER OF COLLISION AND DUE TO HVY TFC I FELT IT IN MY BEST INTEREST TO LAND AND NOT GO AROUND. IF I HAD TO DO IT OVER AGAIN; I WOULD JUST DELAY LNDG UNTIL PATTERN CLRS OF ALL STUDENT PLTS AND OVERZEALOUS CFI'S.
