Synopsis

A NO FLAP LNDG IS PERFORMED AFTER AN EMER LOWERING OF THE GEAR ON A HS125-600 WHEN THE ACFT LOSES HYD PRESSURE PRIOR TO LNDG AT PBI; FL.

Narrative

ON FEB/THU/01 AT APPROX XA00 HRS; I WAS ACTING AS PIC ON HAWKER FERRYING FROM HPN TO PBI. ON DSCNT/APCH PERFORMING THE APCH CHKLIST; I OBSERVED THAT WE ONLY HAD 2200 PSI ON THE HYD PRESSURE GAUGE INSTEAD OF THE REQUIRED 3000 PSI. I ATTEMPTED RAISING THE SPOILERS; BUT GOT NO RESPONSE. I REQUESTED FLAPS 15 DEGS. THE INDICATOR SHOWED MOVEMENT TO 7 DEGS; AND DID SO VERY SLOWLY. I EXPLAINED THE SIT TO THE FO AND TOLD HIM WE WILL NOT BE LNDG WITH FLAPS AND REVIEWED THE NEW REF SPDS. AFTER TURNING FINAL RWY 13; I REQUESTED GEAR DOWN. THERE WAS NO RESPONSE -- ONLY THE 3 RED UNSAFE LIGHTS. I TOLD MY FO 'WE WILL LEAVE THE ARPT ENVIRONMENT AND PERFORM THE NECESSARY CHKLISTS.' HE CALLED THE TWR; REQUESTED RADAR VECTORS TO ATTEMPT TO REMEDY THE SIT. WE FLEW W AT 2500 FT MSL AND CARRIED OUT THE EMER GEAR EXTENSION CHKLIST AND ENSURED BY OVERFLYING THE TWR (TWICE) THEREAFTER AT 400 FT THAT THERE WAS A VISUAL ON THE GEAR. I EXPLAINED TO THE FO WHAT WE WOULD BE DOING IN DETAIL; CAME BACK AROUND; AND JOINED A L BASE TO LAND ON RWY 13. I TOLD THE FO TO DECLARE AN EMER AND LET HIM (THE TWR) KNOW OUR INTENTIONS. I LANDED THE ACFT WITHOUT INCIDENT AND TAXIED TO THE FBO. AFTER SHUTTING DOWN; I PUT THE GEAR PINS IN AND ENSURED THE NECESSARY PERSONS AND AUTHS WERE NOTIFIED.
