AN AC95 CREW; AFTER LNDG AT RNO; RESPONDED TO AN AMENDED CLRNC; WHICH ATC ALLEGES WAS FOR ANOTHER ACFT.

Narrative

WHILE ON FINAL APCH FOR RWY 16L ACFT X WAS INSTRUCTED BY RENO TWR 'ACFT X CLRED TO LAND ON RWY 16L AND TO CLR THE RWY AT TXWY L.' ACFT X ACKNOWLEDGED THESE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE TWR. AFTER TOUCHDOWN AND ROLLOUT RENO TWR AMENDED INSTRUCTIONS FOR 'ACFT X TO TURN R ON RWY 25 AND CROSS RWY 16R AND CONTACT GND XXX9.' UPON RECEIVING THIS CLRNC BY THE RENO TWR; WE SAW THAT TXWY L HAD A CESSNA ACFT SETTING AT THE HOLD LINE FOR RWY 16L; FACING TO THE E. ACFT X COPLT READ BACK THE FOLLOWING RENO TWR'S CLRNC; 'UNDERSTAND ACFT X TO TURN R ON RWY 25; CROSS RWY 16R AND CONTACT GND ON XXX9.' AS THE PLT ON THE CTLS; AND ON THE ROLL OUT OF ACFT X; I DID HEAR MY COPLT REPEAT THE INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE RENO TWR AS FOLLOWS: 'ACFT X TO TURN R ON RWY 25; CROSS RWY 16R AND CONTACT GND ON XXX9.' UPON CLRING BOTH RWYS AT TXWY A; I CALLED RENO GND AND SAID THE FOLLOWING: 'RENO GND; ACFT X; CLR BOTH RWYS TAXI TO FBO.' AFTER RECEIVING THE CLRNC TO TAXI TO FBO; RENO GND CTL ASKED ME TO CALL THE RENO TWR SUPVR TELEPHONE ON ARR TO THE FBO FACILITY. AFTER SHUTDOWN OF THE ACFT; I CALLED THE TWR SUPVR. THE FOLLOWING DIALOG FOLLOWS AS BEST AS I CAN REMEMBER: I ASKED THE TWR SUPVR WHAT HE NEEDED OR WANTED? THE TWR SUPVR STIPULATED; 'THAT THERE WAS A POSSIBLE INFRACTION OF A GIVEN CLRNC GIVEN BY THE RENO TWR OPERATOR!' AND THAT HE WOULD CHK THE TAPE; OR TAPES AND CALL ME BACK IN 15 MINS. I ASKED; 'WHAT INFRACTION?' THE TWR SUPVR SAID THAT WE HAD ACCEPTED A CLRNC THAT WAS MEANT FOR ANOTHER ACFT. AFTER WAITING FOR APPROX 20 MINS OR SO; RECEIVING NO CALL FROM THE TWR SUPVR; I TOOK THE INITIATIVE TO CALL BACK THE TWR SUPVR. THE TWR SUPVR SAID THAT THERE WAS SOME SQUELCH OR NOISE ON THE VOICE TAPE; DURING THAT TIME PERIOD. ALSO; HE STATED THAT HE WAS TURNING THE VOICE TAPE OVER TO THE FAA FOR INVESTIGATION FOR NON-COMPLIANCE OR A VIOLATION OF THE REGS. AFTER HE MADE THE POINT THAT HE WAS TURNING THE VOICE TAPE OVER TO THE FAA; HE ASKED ME FOR INFO; WHICH I GAVE HIM. TO THIS DAY; I DON'T BELIEVE THAT I; NOR MY COPLT WAS IN NON-COMPLIANCE WITH ANY INSTRUCTION ISSUED BY THE RENO TWR OPERATOR INSTRUCTIONS.
