Narrative
IT'S XA00 AND I HAVE NOW REBOOTED COMPUTER ON DESK 5 TWICE ON THE 5 DESK. ON JUN/THU/02 I HAD TO REBOOT COMPUTER AFTER TOTAL LOCK-UP 6 TIMES DURING A SHIFT. MANY TIMES IN THE LAST 2 WKS THE SCREEN PRINTER ON DESK 25 HAS QUIT. ON DESK 5 IT IS DISPATCH AUTO THAT KEPT GOING UP AND DOWN ALL MORNING. IT ALWAYS SEEMS TO BE ONE PROGRAM OR ANOTHER THAT IS CAUSING LOCK-UPS. I HAVE VERBALLY RPTED THIS TO THE MGRS ON DUTY; BUT IT DOES NOT SEEM TO GET BETTER -- ONLY WORSE. I BELIEVE THE ONLY SOLUTION TO THE PROB IS GIVING US THE AUTO SHUTDOWN PROGRAM THAT I UNDERSTAND HAS BEEN AVAILABLE FOR SEVERAL YRS. THIS IS AN UNSAFE SIT THAT SEEMS TO BE GETTING WORSE AND NOT BETTER AS NEW PROGRAMS ARE ADDED. I NEED A QUICK WAY TO BE SURE NO MORE FLTS GET AIRBORNE WHILE I AM SPENDING 10-20 MINS GETTING ALL PROGRAMS BACK UP AND RUNNING AFTER COMPUTER LOCK-UPS. I CANNOT FLT FOLLOW PROPERLY AND LEGALLY WITHOUT THE COMPUTER AND ALL ITS ASSOCIATED PROGRAMS WORKING ALL THE TIME DUE TO THE HIGH NORMAL WORKLOAD ON DOMESTIC DESKS IN PARTICULAR.
