AN E145 CREW; AFTER LNDG RIC; TAXIED PAST THE HOLD LINE OF THE RWY THEY WERE TO HOLD SHORT OF.

Narrative

DUE TO GUSTY WIND CONDITIONS; A REDUCED FLAP LNDG WAS BRIEFED. WE LANDED AT THE END OF THE TOUCHDOWN ZONE. DURING XFER OF CTL (THE FO WAS LNDG) RIC TWR INSTRUCTED US TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 2. THE FO ACCEPTED THE CLRNC BY WAY OF READBACK. MAX BRAKING WAS APPLIED; BUT THE ACFT STOPPED PAST THE HOLD SHORT BARS ON THE RWY. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS ARE THE HIGH SPD APCH AND LNDG ALONG WITH A LATE HOLD SHORT. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 555451: WE LANDED AT THE END OF THE TOUCHDOWN ZONE AND; DUE TO OUR HIGHER SPD; ROLLED OUT PAST TXWY C WHICH IS TYPICALLY THE ONE WE WOULD USE WHEN SPD PERMITS. THE TWR CTLR INSTRUCTED US TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 2 ON RWY 34. AS I WAS READING BACK THE INSTRUCTIONS; I REALIZED THAT WE WERE ABOUT TO ROLL RIGHT THROUGH THE HOLD SHORT LINE. WE STOPPED WITH 1/2 THE AIRPLANE OVER THE LINE THAT SEPARATES RWY 2 FROM RWY 34. THE PROB WAS THAT WE HAD NOT BEEN ISSUED A LAHSO INSTRUCTION PRIOR TO LNDG. THE CTLR ASSUMED WE WOULD MAKE IT OFF RWY 34 OR TXWY C AND CLRED A J41 TO TAKE OFF FROM RWY.
