ON SEP/TUE/02; I HEARD ABOUT OF SOME MEASUREMENTS ON AN 8TH STAGE STATOR THAT I WAS NOT AWARE OF. MR X TOLD ME ABOUT THIS MEASUREMENT. THIS CAUSED CONCERN TO ME. I HAVE WORKED NUMEROUS STATORS IN THIS AREA FOR ABOUT A WK. I HAVE ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT HOW TO DO THE WORK OF REMOVING OVERSPRAY. THE INFO I LOOKED UP WAS VAGUE OR NON EXISTENT. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 559659: TECHNICIAN #1 AND MYSELF WERE INSTRUCTED TO PLACE BLADE 535 IN A BUCKET. AFTER PLACING BLADE IN BUCKET; WE POURED A CHEMICAL KNOWN AS 23018 CEE-BEE 105HF OVER THE PLATFORM AND LET IT SIT FOR 4 HRS. BLADE WAS PLACED IN BUCKET; I CHKED SHOP ORDER FOR PROPER AUTH THROUGH OUR MANUALS. THERE IS NOTHING LISTED FOR THIS REPAIR. IN CHKING LIST; THIS CHEMICAL IS NOT LISTED. 105HF HAS NOT BEEN APPROVED FOR USE THROUGH LABS. BLADE WAS REMOVED AFTER 4 HRS; CHKED; THEN REPLACED FOR 2 MORE HRS. WE NEEDED PAPERWORK; MANUALS; TO TELL US HOW AND WHAT TO DO; NOT JUST INSTRUCTIONS FROM A SUPVR. WE WOULD LIKE PAPERWORK AND ESO (ENGINEERING SVC ORDER) APPROVED AUTH.
