MOONEY PLT HAS LNDG GEAR RETRACT DURING TKOF ROLL.

Narrative

AFTER A FLT (IFR) FROM X40 INVERNESS; FL; I LANDED AT 18A FRANKLIN HART ARPT FOR FUEL. I FUELED UP AND DID A CHKLIST; TAXIED OUT TO RWY 26 FOR TKOF TO HOME BASE. ON TKOF ROLL AT ROTATION; THE PLANE LIFTED OFF AND THEN SETTLED DOWN; AND I HAD PUT THE GEAR SWITCH IN THE UP POS BY ACCIDENT DURING THE CHKLIST. AT THIS TIME THERE WAS A VERY LOUD NOISE; THE PLAN PITCHED THE L WING DOWN; WE GOT AN ODOR IN THE COCKPIT OF RUBBER BURNING (SMOKE). I THOUGHT I HAD A BLOWOUT ON THE L TIRE. I PULLED THE PLANE UP AND TRIED TO RAISE THE GEAR; BUT THE SWITCH WAS ALREADY UP. I DIDN'T RELATE THIS TO THE EVENT AT THIS TIME AND STILL THOUGHT I HAD A BLOWOUT. SO; I WENT TO AND; AND CALLED FSS RADIO ON 123.6 TO GET A FIRE TRUCK AND EMS ON THE FIELD. I DID A VERY SLOW TOUCHDOWN WITH THE R WING DOWN SO THAT IF IT PULLED TO THE L; I COULD STILL CTL THE PLANE. AFTER LNDG; I REALIZED THAT I HAD A PROP STRIKE; NOT A FLAT TIRE. I JUST CALLED FOR A FERRY PERMIT; AND THEY TOLD ME THAT I SHOULD HAVE RPTED THIS AT THE TIME. WHEN I GOT THE PLANE PUT AWAY; I WENT TO FSS AND ASKED WHO I SHOULD RPT TO. THEY SAID I DIDN'T HAVE AN EMER; AND THEY DIDN'T THINK I NEED TO RPT TO ANYONE. I DIDN'T THINK THIS WAS A SIT THAT NEEDED TO BE RPTED TO FLT SAFETY.
