NORMAL PREFLT AND TAXI PROCS FOLLOWED BY DEICING. COMPLETED NORMAL TKOF CHKLIST. WAITED FOR ATC DEP RELEASE TIME. NORMAL TKOF AND CLBOUT. NORMAL CHKLIST AT 10000 FT. PASSING 12000 FT; FELT APPROX 3 COMPRESSOR STALLS AND HEARD AND FELT VIBRATIONS. ALL ENG INDICATIONS WERE NORMAL. REDUCED PWR AND LEVELED AT 12800 FT. DECLARED EMER; BRIEFED FLT ATTENDANTS AND PAX. RETURNED TO YYZ. COMPLETED NORMAL DSCNT AND LNDG CHKLISTS. PWR WAS REDUCED AND AUTOTHROTTLES WERE OFF AS A RESULT OF THE LEVELOFF. VIBRATION WENT AWAY WHEN THE PWR WAS REDUCED. VIBRATION RETURNED ON FINAL WHEN LNDG CONFIGN WAS ACCOMPLISHED. LNDG WAS MADE BY FO SO I (THE CAPT) COULD WATCH FOR A POSSIBLE ENG FAILURE OF EITHER ENG. TWR AND CFR WERE NOTIFIED OF POSSIBLE ENG FAILURE ON FINAL. NORMAL LNDG WITH MEDIUM AUTOBRAKES ACCOMPLISHED WITH IDLE REVERSE. CLRED RWY. CFR SAID R ENG WAS SMOKING. SECURED R ENG. RETURNED TO GATE ON L ENG. POSTFLT SHOWED BLADES BENT NOSE FORWARD ON R ENG AND CIRCUIT BREAKER FOR R ENG; L SIDE VALVE; ANTI-ICE POPPED. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 570992: HEARD A MUTED POP WITH A CONTINUOUS VIBRATION. ALL ENG INDICATIONS NORMAL AFTER SEVERAL SECONDS 2 OR 3 POPS IN QUICK SUCCESSION. AT THIS POINT; I TURNED AUTOTHROTTLES OFF AND REDUCED PWR. VIBRATION CEASED AT REDUCED PWR. RETURNED TO FIELD AFTER DECLARING EMER. ACCOMPLISHED NORMAL CHKLIST AND PROCS TO A NORMAL LNDG. DURING APCH; VIBRATION RETURNED ANY TIME PWR EXCEEDED 1.35 EPR. CLRED RWY AND STOPPED AND HAD OUTSIDE EXTERIOR INSPECTION COMPLETED. SHUT DOWN R ENG AND TAXIED TO THE GATE. POSTFLT SHOWED FAN BLADES BENT ON R ENG. FOUND L ANTI-ICE VALVE; R ENG POPPED.
