FOR REFERENCE ON TECH'S KNOWLEDGE OF THE LACK OF AN INTERCONNECT BTWN THE BATTERY CHARGING CB (THE BATTERY CHARGER) AND THE 'BATTERY CHARGER' LIGHT ON THE OVERHEAD ANNUNCIATOR PANEL. THIS SEL ITEM 10 DOES NOT ADDRESS THE LACK OF THE INTERCONNECT AS DISCUSSED IN THE OPS MANUAL RED BOOK SYSTEMS SECTION AS FAR AS I CAN TELL. THIS MEANS TO ME THAT THE SPECIFIC PROB DESCRIBED IN MY ORIGINAL RPT IS NOT CORRECTLY IDENTIFIED OR DISCUSSED. PLEASE RESPOND WITH WHATEVER INFO YOU MAY HAVE REGARDING ADDRESSING THIS SHORTFALL IN THE SEL 10 OR IN THE OPS MANUAL. THANK YOU. THE BATTERY CHARGING LIGHT CB; IF POPPED DOES NOT CAUSE THE BATTERY CHARGER LIGHT ON THE OVERHEAD ANNUNCIATOR PANEL TO ILLUMINATE. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THAT MAINT TECHNICAL SERVICES AND ENGINEERING HAVE NEVER GIVEN A CLR AND CONCISE EXPLANATION OF THE FUNCTION OF THE BATTERY CHARGER 'OFF' LIGHT. THE RPTR SAID IF THE THREE PHASE CB FEEDING POWER TO THE BATTERY CHARGER IS TRIPPED THE BATTERY CHARGER 'OFF' LIGHT DOES NOT ILLUMINATE. THE RPTR STATED THE ONLY WAY THE CREW WOULD KNOW THE BATTERY WAS NOT CHARGING IN THIS CONDITION WOULD BE THE AMMETER OR VOLTMETER NOT PULSING IF SWITCHED TO THIS POS.
