DURING A RAMP DEP PROC; A SERIES OF MISCOMS BTWN THE GND CREW AND THE PIC CREATES A NEAR CONFLICT WITH A GND CREW PERSON AT SDF; KY.

Narrative

AFTER BEING PUSHED BACK; WE WERE GIVEN A SALUTE BY THE FEMALE OF THE 2 WING WALKERS. I DID NOT SEE THE MALE IN FRONT OF THE AIRPLANE; BUT CAUGHT A GLIMPSE OF HIM WALKING AWAY WITH THE TUG OFF THE R SIDE. I NOTICED THE FEMALE YELLING AT THE TUG DRIVER; BUT THE TUG DRIVER DID NOT HEAR HER. I FIGURED THE MIKE CORD GOT STUCK OR SOMETHING AND DID NOT PAY IT FURTHER ATTN. I SAID 'CLR L' AND THE FO REPLIED 'CLR R' AND I CALLED FOR A TAXI CLRNC. I RELEASED THE BRAKES AND THE FO SAID 'JUST A SECOND. I HAVE TO PUT THINGS AWAY.' (SHE HAD HER CHAPTER 4 OF THE FHP OUT; BECAUSE OF A MECHANIC WE HAD.) AS I WAS WATCHING THE FO PUT HER BOOK AWAY; I NOTICED THE MALE RAMPER RUNNING TOWARDS THE AIRPLANE. HE WAS APCHING FROM BEHIND THE FO'S HEAD. I QUICKLY PARKED THE BRAKES AS HE PASSED UNDER THE WINDOW AND PASSED UNDER THE NOSE OF THE ACFT. I HEARD THE INTERPHONE DOOR SNAP SHUT; AND THEN HE LEFT IN THE SAME MANNER HE APCHED THE ACFT. WE REALLY NEVER HAD A GOOD SIGHTING OF HIM. THE FEMALE RAMPER HAD APCHED THE ACFT AGAIN BY NOW AND WAVED US OFF AGAIN. I CANNOT EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH; THE MALE RAMPER CAME CLOSE TO BEING RUN OVER. WE WERE ALREADY WAVED OFF; AND THE GND PERSONNEL HAD LEFT THE AREA. HE RE-APCHED US FROM A BLIND AREA; AND WE NEVER REALLY HAD A GOOD SIGHTING ON HIM. HAD I NOT BEEN LOOKING AT THE FO AND CAUGHT A GLIMPSE OF HIM; THIS MAY HAVE BEEN A DIFFERENT RPT.
