Narrative
GOT TAXI CLRNC FROM GND CTL. GND CTL SAID TO GET AND ADVISE WHEN WE RECEIVE NEW SPECIAL ATIS. WE WERE GETTING NEW ATIS WHEN I LEARNED I CROSSED RWY 28C AT PIT. NOTHING WAS TAKING OFF OR LNDG. I LOOKED BOTH WAYS; AND I COULD SEE NOTHING AT EITHER END. I CROSSED THINKING I WAS GOING TO RWY 28L. GND SAID I MADE WRONG TURN; AND NOW HE WANTED US TO TURN L AND HOLD SHORT OF RWY 28C AGAIN. THEN HE TOLD US TO CROSS RWY 28C AND TURN R ONTO TXWY E AND TAXI TO RWY 28C. NOTHING ELSE WAS SAID. WE ASSUMED IT WAS ACTIVE. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 578399: SO; I TOLD THE CAPT I WOULD GO PICK UP THE NEW ATIS AS WE TAXIED ONTO TXWY E WITH A STRAIGHT SHOT ALL THE WAY TO RWY 28C. I WAS WRITING THE NEW WX FROM ATIS FREQ. AS WE APCHED THE FIRST TXWY ON TXWY E; WHICH IS TXWY V; THE CAPT TURNED ON IT AND STARTED XING RWY 28C. ABOUT 1/2 WAY ACROSS; I LOOKED UP; CAME OFF ATIS TO GND TO HEAR GND TELLING MY CAPT HE'D TURNED WRONG. I READ BACK THE TAXI INSTRUCTIONS OUT LOUD TO THE CAPT AS I RECEIVED THEM. THE ONLY OTHER THING I COULD'VE DONE WAS TO NOT LEAVE FREQ AND MONITOR ALL THE WAY TO RWY.
