SMT PLT HAD PROP STRIKES ON GAR WHEN HE DID NOT EXTEND THE LNDG GEAR FOR LNDG.
Narrative
I STARTED AN APCH INTO BFF TO RWY 23; RWY 12/30 WAS NOTAMED CLOSED. THE WIND WAS ABOUT 15 KTS GUSTING TO 30+ KTS FROM 310 DEGS. MY THOUGHT PROCESS WAS I WOULD DO AN APCH TO RWY 23; AND IF THE WINDS WERE TOO GREAT I WOULD ASK IF THEY COULD LET ME USE RWY 30 (THEY WERE WORKING ON LIGHTS AT THE EDGE OF THE RWY). THROUGH THE FINAL APCH TO THE RWY; HEADING WAS HELD WITH RUDDER; AILERON; AND ASYMMETRIC PWR. AT THE THRESHOLD TO THE RWY I WAS MAINTAINING 110-120 KTS; NOTICED EQUIP ON RWY 12/30 OFF THE SIDE OF RWY 23; AND HAD INCREASINGLY GUSTY WINDS. I WASN'T COMFORTABLE WITH THE APCH AT THAT POINT; THE ACFT WAS BOUNCING WITH THE GUSTS AND DIDN'T FEEL 'RIGHT.' I FELT I WAS OUT OF MY CHKLIST; AND INCREASED PWR TO ABORT THE LNDG. AT SOME POINT DURING THAT PROCESS I HEARD A CLICKING SOUND; CIRCLED AND LANDED ON RWY 30 AFTER THEY MOVED THE EQUIP. DAMAGE TO PROPS FROM STRIKING THE RWY. IN POST DISCUSSIONS; MY PAX (NOT A PLT) THOUGHT THE GEAR WAS DOWN AND I RETRACTED IT AFTER I SAID WE WERE GOING TO GO AROUND. IN THE 150 TIMES I HAVE GONE THROUGH THE LNDG SINCE; I DO NOT REMEMBER LOWERING THE GEAR AND; MORE SPECIFICALLY; SAYING '3 GREEN' OUT LOUD TO MYSELF WHICH HAS BEEN A LONGTIME HABIT. THAT AND THE TOTAL DISCOMFORT WITH THE FINAL SECONDS OF THE APCH MAKES ME BELIEVE THAT THE GEAR WAS NEVER LOWERED. THE CAUSE WAS PLT (MY) ERROR BY GETTING AWAY FROM THE CHKLIST AND NOT ABORTING SOONER ON AN UNSTABILIZED APCH.
