C152 PLT ENTERS THE NY ADIZ WITHOUT A CLRNC AND DISCRETE XPONDER CODE.

Narrative

INADVERTENTLY ENTERED NY ADIZ ENRTE TO 39N FROM N87. FLT ORIGINATED AT DYL; N87; 39N AND 39N. ONCE ON THE GND AT 39N; UNICOM REQUESTED TO PARK ACFT AND ENTER THE FBO. I WAS MADE AWARE THAT I INADVERTENTLY ENTERED THE NY ADIZ(FDC NOTAM 3/2121 ISSUED ON TUE MARCH 2003) AND THAT I HAD TO CALL NY APCH CTL FOR FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS. THEY THEN INSTRUCTED ME TO CALL AN FSS TO RECEIVE AN 'ADIZ FLT PLAN' AND TO CALL THEM BACK ONCE THE FLT PLAN WAS COMPLETE. I CALLED NY APCH CTL AND RECEIVED A SQUAWK CODE. IN ORDER TO LEAVE THE NY ADIZ BACK TO DYL. AT APPROX XA25 LOCAL; I DEPARTED 39N ENRTE TO DYL; CLBING TO 3500 FT UNTIL I CROSSED THE DELAWARE RIVER AT WHICH TIME I BEGAN MY DESCENT INTO DYL. AFTER PARKING THE ACFT AT DYL; I WAS AGAIN INSTRUCTED TO CALL NY APCH CTL; WHICH I DID AND SPOKE TO THE OPS MGR; WHO SAID THAT HE HAD TO RPT THIS TO THE NY FSDO AND THAT I WOULD BE CONTACTED SHORTLY. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PREVIOUS SUMMARY; THIS WAS TRULY AN HONEST MISTAKE. IF I HAD REALIZED NY FLT WAS GOING TO TAKE ME INTO THE 'NY ADIZ'; I WOULD HAVE TAKEN AN APPROPRIATE ACTION; FILING AN ADIZ FLT PLAN AND CALLING NY APCH CTL FOR A DISCRETE XPONDER CODE; WHICH I DID IMMEDIATELY UPON 39N FBO NOTIFYING ME OF MY MISTAKE. AGAIN; I DID NOT REALIZE 39N WAS INSIDE THE 30 NM VEIL (I BELIEVE ONLY 1-2 NM INSIDE). IN THE FUTURE; I WILL PROACTIVELY REVIEW NOTAMS FROM MY LOCAL FSS IN ORDER TO AVOID ANOTHER SIT LIKE THIS.
