DEPARTING TEB XA15 LCL TIME. SKY CLR. TWR USING INTERSECTING RWYS 6 AND 1 FOR ARRS AND DEPS. TWRS INTERSECTED OUR ACFT TO GO INTO 'POS AND HOLD RWY 1 BE PREPARED FOR AN IMMEDIATE TKOF;' OUR ACFT PROCEEDED INTO POS ON THE RWY READY TO GO. AFTER A SHORT DELAY WE WERE CLRED FOR TKOF; I IMMEDIATELY RELEASED THE BRAKES AND ADVANCED THE PWR LEVERS; AT APPROX 60 KTS; I HEARD THE ACFT ON FINAL RPT 'THIS ISN'T GOING TO WORK; WE ARE GOING AROUND.' TWR ACKNOWLEDGED AND INSTRUCTED HIM TO 'MAKE R TFC FOR RWY 1;' THE TWR THEN INSTRUCTED US (NOW AT APPROX 80 KTS ON TKOF ROLL) TO 'HOLD YOUR POS; CANCEL YOUR TKOF CLRNC.' WE ABORTED THE TKOF; TWR INSTRUCTED OUR ACFT TO EXIT THE RWY AT TXWY D. WE ADVISED D WAS BARRICADED. HE ADVISED WE CLR AT C; WHICH WE DID. WHEN CLRED INTO POS; I DO NOT RECALL THE TWR INFORMING US OF ACFT ON 3 MI FINAL; AS NOTICED ON TCASII DISPLAY. I ALSO DO NOT RECALL HEARING ACFT ON FINAL; ADVISED WE WERE HOLDING IN POS. ENG SPOOL TIME FOR OUR ACFT IS ABOUT 9 SECONDS; AND ALTHOUGH WE DID NOT DELAY BEGINNING OUR TKOF; THE TWR MAY NOT HAVE ALLOWED FOR THAT TIME; EVEN THOUGH THIS ACFT TYPE IS VERY COMMON AT THIS ARPT.
