A319 CREW HAD IDG LOW OIL PRESSURE; AND A FAILED #3 INERTIAL REF SYS IN ZAU CLASS E.

Narrative

ON CLBOUT FROM ORD; WE HAD AN ECAM FOR GENERATOR #1 FAULT FOLLOWED BY IDG1 LOW PRESSURE ECAM MESSAGE. WE FOLLOWED THE ECAM AND DISCONNECTED THE IDG; THEN CONTACTED THE PURSER THEN DISPATCH WITH MAINT CTLR. DURING WAIT FOR DISPATCH IR3 (INERTIAL REF #3) FAULT WAS OBSERVED AN WE SELECTED ATTITUDE ON IR3. APU WAS STARTED AND CONFERENCE WITH DISPATCH AND MAINT CTLR COVERED ENRTE WX; APU FUEL BURN; AND OTHER CONSIDERATIONS FOR CONTINUED FLT. AFTER LOOKING AT POS MONITOR PAGE ON MCDU; IR3 HAD LATITUDE LONGITUDE DATA AND LOOKED LIKE WE COULD REGAIN IR3 TO NAV. IR3 WAS SELECTED TO NAV WITH NO CHANGE. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO RETURN IR3 TO ATTITUDE; CAPT MISTAKENLY TURNED THE THIRD IR SWITCH; OR IR2 TO ATTITUDE. A QUICK RETURN TO NAV DID NOT STOP THE ECAM'S. THE ACFT LOST APU #1 AND APU #2; AUTOTHROTTLES; FLT DIRECTORS; FO NAV DISPLAY AND ENTERED ALT LAW. DISPATCH WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED OF SIT AND WAS AGREED TO CONTINUE TO HAND FLY TO PDX. APCHING OREGON WE ENTERED LIGHT TURB AND DECIDED TO CLB TO FL370; AT WHICH POINT THE APU AUTO SHUT DOWN. DISPATCH WAS ADVISED AND WE DECIDED TO WAIT UNTIL PDT TO DSND W OF THE WX AND BELOW FL310 TO ENHANCE APU START. APU STARTED NORMALLY AND FLT TO PDX PROCEEDED NORMALLY INCLUDING A VERY MANAGEABLE DIRECT LAW LNDG.
