LOSS OF OIL QUANTITY AND OIL PRESSURE IN THE R ENG OF A HNL BOUND B767-300 140 NM E OF SFO MANDATES A DIVERSION TO AND EMER LNDG AT SFO; CA

Narrative

APPROX 140 MI E OF SFO; WE NOTICED THE L AND R OIL PRESSURES WERE DIFFERENT. (L APPROX 210 PSI AND R 130 PSI). THE NEXT OBSERVATION WAS THAT THE R QUANTITY WAS NEAR 0 (SOON AT 0). THE OIL PRESSURE CONTINUED TO DROP AND WE STARTED THE LOW OIL PRESSURE CHKLIST. DURING THE CHKLIST; THE PRESSURE DROPPED BELOW RED LINE AND WE WERE DIRECTED TO THE INFLT SHUTDOWN CHKLIST. THE ENG WAS SECURED AND WE DISCUSSED A DIVERSION. SFO WAS SELECTED AND WE STARTED A SLOW DSCNT. AN EMER WAS DECLARED AND ALL APPROPRIATE INFO WAS GIVEN TO ATC. DISPATCH WAS CONTACTED AND CONCURRED WITH OUR DECISION TO DIVERT TO SFO. THE FLT ATTENDANTS WERE BRIEFED; THE PAX WERE BRIEFED AND A CABIN ADVISORY WAS COMPLETED. WE CONTINUED OUR DSCNT INTO SFO AND ASKED FOR EMER EQUIP TO BE STANDING BY. SINGLE ENG APCH AND LNDG PROCS WERE BRIEFED INCLUDING SFO'S SINGLE ENG MISSED APCH PROC. A VISUAL APCH AND LNDG WAS ACCOMPLISHED; WE CLRED THE RWY; STOPPED THE ACFT AND ASKED THAT THE EMER CREWS INSPECT THE ACFT. GND CREWS HOOKED UP A TUG AND WE SHUT DOWN THE GOOD ENG AND WERE TOWED TO THE GATE. WE THEN TALKED TO FLT OPS; MAINT; DISPATCH; CUSTOMER SVC AND OTHERS AND WERE ASSIGNED A NEW ACFT AND CONTINUED ON TO HNL.
