Narrative
WE WERE CLRED FOR AND ACKNOWLEDGED TKOF CLRNC. IT WAS THE FO'S TKOF. AT ABOUT THE SAME TIME I MOVED MY HANDS TO THE THRUST LEVERS TO SET TKOF THRUST; TWR SAID SOMETHING TO THE EFFECT OF 'COMPANY NUMBER; CONFIRM YOU WERE CLRED ON TO HOLD.' I IMMEDIATELY REJECTED THE TKOF AT SOMEWHERE CLOSE TO 80 KTS. THE 80 KT CALL HAD NOT BEEN MADE YET. TWR SAID HE WAS SORRY; BUT THAT HE THOUGHT HE WAS TALKING TO THE ACFT WHO HAD BEEN HOLDING BEHIND US. HE SAID HE HAD GOTTEN THE STRIPS CROSSED UP. AS WE WERE PULLING OFF ON TXWY A6; I RECONFIRMED WITH TWR THAT WE HAD BEEN CLRED FOR TKOF. HE APOLOGIZED AGAIN AND SAID WE HAD BEEN CLRED FOR TKOF AND WE COULD TAXI BACK TO A8 AND GO AGAIN. WE CHKED THE OPC FOR BRAKE ENERGY AND WITH A HVY ACFT (137+2) AND 100 DEGS F; WE WERE GIVEN A 46 MIN HOLD TIME. WE RETURNED TO THE GATE WHERE MAINT CHKED OUT THE ACTUAL BRAKE TEMPS. BOTH WERE GOOD TO GO AND WE TAXIED OUT AFTER COMPLETING THE APPROPRIATE LOGBOOK ENTRY. OUR SECOND PUSH TIME WAS 45 MINS LATER THAN THE ORIGINAL. THIS WAS A CASE OF HUMAN ERROR BY THE TWR CTLR THAT HAPPENED TO OCCUR AT A LESS THAN IDEAL TIME.
