ATCT LCL CTLR CLRED A BUSINESS JET INTO POS DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF A LNDG PILATUS PC12 AT FRG.

Narrative

WE WERE FLYING OUR FRACTIONALLY OPERATED PILATUS PC12 ON A QUICK HOP VFR FROM ISP TO FRG. LCL CTLR AT FRG INSTRUCTED US TO FOLLOW THE EXPRESSWAY FROM THE E; AND THEN ENTER A L DOWNWIND FOR RWY 14. WE WERE TOLD TO EXTEND AND VISUALLY ACQUIRE A SENECA ON 6 MI FINAL. WE COMPLIED. WE TURNED BASE AND FINAL; AND MY FO KEPT VISUAL TRACK OF THE TWIN; AND I MONITORED THE DISTANCE ON TCASII. WE WERE CLRED TO LAND #2 BEHIND THE SENECA; AND ACKNOWLEDGED. ON SHORT (1/2-1 MI) FINAL; MY FO STATED THAT THE SENECA IS NOT YET CLR OF THE RWY. AT THE SAME TIME; I HEARD THE TWR CLR A CORPORATE JET INTO POS AND HOLD; AND I SAW THEM START TO MOVE. I KEYED THE MIKE AND SAID 'HEY; WHAT ABOUT US?' TWR ASKED 'WHO?' I SAID 'PILATUS ON SHORT FINAL.' THAT GOT THE JET'S ATTN; AND TWR CLRED US FOR A R 360 DEG TURN TO REJOIN FINAL. THE JET TAXIED STRAIGHT ACROSS AND CLRED THE RWY. TOO LATE FOR US TO LAND; BUT WE MADE A SUCCESSFUL GAR AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE TWR LOST TRACK OF US; AND THE JET CREW SHOULD HAVE VISUALLY CLRED THEIR FINAL APCH PATH BEFORE TAKING THE RWY. I SHOULD HAVE USED BETTER RADIO PHRASEOLOGY; BUT I DON'T BELIEVE THAT WAS A FACTOR. MY FO WAS HELPFUL WITH THE SENECA; BUT DIDN'T NOTICE THIS JET. EVERYONE LEARNED FROM THIS EXPERIENCE; I AM SURE.
