Narrative
ENRTE; FLT ATTENDANT RPTED LOUD NOISE IN FORWARD CABIN ON FLOOR. RELIEF PLT REQUESTED TO INVESTIGATE. PLT INVESTIGATED INSIDE E&E COMPARTMENT. FOUND LOCATION OF NOISE/VIBRATION IN A DUCT ALONG R SIDE (COPLT'S SIDE) OF ACFT; LEADING INTO FOOD CARGO HOLD. SHORTLY AFTERWARDS; FUMES WERE DETECTED IN COCKPIT. STATUS MESSAGE THEN INDICATED E&E EQUIP EXHAUST FAN. ALL PLTS DONNED OXYGEN MASKS AND EMER WAS DECLARED. DIVERT WAS INITIATED. CAPT FLEW ACFT AND TALKED TO ATC. COPLT RAN NON-NORMAL CHKLISTS/NORMAL CHKLISTS. LINE CHK PLT DID INTER ACFT COM. RELIEF PLT COMMUNICATED WITH COMPANY. DEAD HDG CAPT INVESTIGATED FUMES (DECREASED WITH PROC). UNEVENTFUL APCH/LNDG. FULL CRASH EQUIP AND GND SUPPORT PROVIDED. POSITIVE ITEMS: ADDITIONAL PLTS AVAILABLE. PROMPT ACTION INITIATING IDENTING PROB BY FLT ATTENDANT AND PLTS. CRM OF ALL AIR CREWS. ATC PROVIDED OUTSTANDING SVC. SUPPORT EXCELLENT. NEGATIVE ITEMS: POOR AIR SYS NON-NORMAL CHKLIST (3 SIMILAR CHKLISTS FOR PROBS INTERRELATED; BUT CHKLISTS DO NOT INTERACT). NOT ENOUGH OXYGEN FOR COCKPIT CREW (IN THIS CASE 4 PLTS) FOR GREATER THAN 30 PLUS MINUTES. LANDED WITH 90 PSI OXYGEN REMAINING.
