FLT CREW OF B733 DISCOVERED AFTER ALREADY AIRBORNE THAT PREVIOUS CREW HAD IMPROPERLY WRITTEN UP AND CLRED A LEADING EDGE DEVICE ANOMALY. EXPERIENCED SAME PROB ON LNDG AND WROTE UP A REPEAT DISCREPANCY.

Narrative
FIRST LEG; DAY 2 OF A 3 DAY. INBOUND ACFT RUNNING LATE; OUTBOUND LEG OVERSOLD. SENSE OF URGENCY BY EVERYONE INVOLVED TO GET ACFT TURNED ASAP. OUTGOING CAPT BRIEFED ME IT WAS A GOOD ACFT; EXCEPT THEY WERE LATE BECAUSE THEY DID A SLOW SPD ABORT FOR A LEADING EDGE FLAP XSIT LIGHT. THEY 'CLRED THE RWY; CLRED THE LIGHT; CONTACTED DISPATCH; AND CONTINUED WITH ALL NORMAL INDICATIONS.' ON MY PREFLT I DID REVIEW THE LOGBOOK AND SAW THE INFO ABORTED TKOF WRITE-UP; BUT IN RETROSPECT DID NOT ACTUALLY ANALYZE IT. AT ALT ON THAT LEG; I STARTED THINKING ABOUT THE WRITE-UP AND REREAD THE LOGBOOK. I TOLD MY FO I DID NOT THINK THAT WAS A VALID 'INFO' WRITE-UP AND WE WOULD HAVE MAINT LOOK AT IT WHEN WE LANDED. ON LNDG; WE EXPERIENCED A SIMILAR LEADING EDGE FLAP XSIT LIGHT. WE WROTE UP THE ACFT AND TURNED IT OVER TO MAINT. I THEN HUSTLED OVER TO OUR SCHEDULED ACFT CHANGE. ON THE NEXT LEG WE HAD SOME TIME TO DISCUSS THE WRITE-UP AND RESEARCH THE FOM. THAT LED ME TO BELIEVE THE 'INFO' WRITE-UP WASN'T A VALID WRITE-UP AND WE SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN IT CLRED BEFORE ACCEPTING THE ACFT. I TOLD MY FO I WAS GOING TO FILE AN ASAP RPT AND ADVISED HIM TO DO THE SAME.
