MD80S CAPT GIVING IOE ADMITTED THAT POOR CRM CONTRIBUTED TO FLYING THE WRONG SID OUT OF LAS.

Narrative

FLT PLANNED VIA THE MCCARRAN ONE DEP RWY 25R RADAR VECTORS TO HEC AS FILED. WE BRIEFED THIS SID AND FLEW IT. I QUERIED LAS DEP AFTER TKOF AS TO HOW LONG THEY INTENDED TO KEEP US ON THE HEADING BEFORE TURNING TO HEC. LAS DEP ADVISED US THAT WE WERE ON IDALE RNAV TWO DEP AND THAT WE HAD MISSED OUR TURN ON OUR OWN. ADVISED WE HAD THE MCCARRAN ONE. THE DISCREPANCY WAS IDENTED AND RECTIFIED WITHOUT ANY INCIDENT. WE WERE RECLRED ON A HEADING TO INTERCEPT THE BLD 213 DEG RADIAL TO HEC. I WAS A CHK AIRMAN ON AN IOE WITH AN FO WHO HAD BEEN AWAY FROM FLYING FOR 13 MONTHS AND WAS NEW TO THE MD80. LATER SHE MENTIONED TO ME THAT WE HAD RECEIVED A REVISED ROUTING VIA ACARS PDC. IT WAS NOT THE FAULT OF THE FO IT WAS MINE FOR NOT PICKING UP ON IT. WE HAD ERRONEOUSLY FLOWN THE FLT PLAN SID AND NOT THE REVISED ROUTING SID. I TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ERROR AS A CHK AIRMAN WITH AN UNQUALIFIED FO IN THE SEAT. MANY DISTRS DURING THE BOARDING PROCESS LIKELY ADDED TO THE ERROR ON MY PART. DUE DILIGENCE OUT OF AND INTO LAS IS NOW PARAMOUNT WITH ALL THE NEW RNAV ARRS AND DEPS AT LAS THAT THEY APPEAR TO EXCHANGE ON VERY LITTLE NOTICE; BOTH ARRIVING AND DEPARTING. IT ALSO CONCERNED ME THAT LAS DEP WATCHED US MISS THE TURN WITHOUT BRINGING IT TO OUR ATTN EARLIER.
