Narrative
ENRTE FROM DEN TO DFW WX AT DFW FORCED US TO DIVERT TO WICHITA FALLS; ARRIVING XA16 LCL. WE TAXIED IN ON 1 ENG AND WERE DIRECTED TO THE CIVILIAN RAMP USED BY CODE SHARE CARRIER. THIS IS A VERY SMALL RAMP AREA AND THERE WERE ALREADY AN MD80; AN FL100; AND SEVERAL 'CODE SHARE' ACFT THERE PARKED AT VARIOUS ANGLES. A MARSHALER GUIDED US IN ON THE E SIDE OF THE RAMP DIRECTLY TOWARD THE WINGTIP OF THE MD80. I INITIALLY THOUGHT WE WOULD STOP STRAIGHT AHEAD BUT AS WE CAME CLOSER TO THE OTHER ACFT; THE MARSHALER DIRECTED A R TURN. I WAS AWARE OF A BUILDING TO OUR L; BUT; CONCENTRATING ON THE MARSHALER AND THE OTHER ACFT; WAS NOT AWARE THAT IT WAS ACTUALLY A HANGAR WITH LARGE DOORS. AFTER WE HAD TURNED ABOUT 70 DEGS; THE MARSHALER SUDDENLY BECAME VERY AGITATED AND SIGNALED US TO SHUT DOWN. ABOUT THE SAME TIME I SAW DEBRIS BLOWING FROM BEHIND THE ACFT AND SOMEONE ON THE RADIO SAID SOMETHING ABOUT HANGAR DOORS. WE SHUT DOWN THE REMAINING ENG. DURING THE TURN OUR EXHAUST HAD IMPACTED THE BUILDING; BLOWN IN 1 SIDE OF THE HANGAR DOORS AND BLOWN OUT THE OTHER SIDE. 3 GA JETS INSIDE WERE DAMAGED. WHILE TAXING IN I WAS MOST CONCERNED ABOUT THE CLOSE QUARTERS AND THE NEARBY OTHER ACFT; BUT DID NOT CONSIDER THE APPARENTLY SOLID BUILDING BEHIND ME TO BE A HAZARD.
